Such "bold statement" is, likewise, philosophy ... a legal philosophy that has been at tension with the principles upon which this Nation was founded.
The legal doctrine of individual sovereignty runs through the constitution and most laws. That there exists also what you describe is the basis of the dynamic struggle of man.
YOU may be a tool of the State. Personally I think that you are just a tool.
Um, no. If anyone is a tool of the state, it is those seeking to corrupt the concept of relationships.

It is bad enough that corporations have "rights." It is bad enough that corporations have personhood. By perverting the meaning of marriage, you make it no different than any other kind of relationship, and play into the hands of the State.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfred_Kinsey

Alfred Kinsey used the Nazis and other anti-Christian, Nietzsche-like arguments to attempt false arguments that homosexuality, and pedophilia, are "normal."

I would LOVE for the concept of individual sovereignty to be realized, BUT IT NEVER HAS. So stop wasting my time trying to turn the tables here.

YOU ARE THE ONE FIGHTING TO DESTROY CIVIL RIGHTS. YOU ARE THE ONE THAT IS A TOOL OF THE STATE.

The wealthy and the elite would like nothing more than to destroy the concept of marriage and family, to making us more effective worker-bees.

Are you really so blind to this? Amazing. Do not ever try to claim to be for the US Constitution, or civil rights, or for sovereignty. YOU ARE NOT!

Sorry, but procreation IS NOT mandated for ANY married couple and yet, opposite-sex couples who do NOT have children still AUTOMATICALLY are entitled to the 1100 rights, benefits and privileges that the Federal government bestows on being married!!!
God DOESN'T rule this Country nor the laws that govern it!!!
Sorry, but both my wife and I have had children, and though we did not create them together, under the laws of this Country and State.......they are all our children.......and we would be responsible for them if they were not already adults living their lives!!!
NorCal, I stated that God, government, people, or courts cannot defy logic.

I did not say God rules this country.

You just demonstrated that you cannot read what is posted, and are having a difficult time comprehending what is being stated.

All relationships of any kind are subject to different laws based on their purpose to society. They are not, and never, a matter of equal rights. ALL relationships are absolutely subject to the public welfare. Individual rights are not, which is why society can EXCLUDE YOU FROM IT, and NOT violate your right to life and liberty, but merely exile you, exclude you, or exempt you.

Individual liberty and social obligations are entirely separate issues that you are very confused about.

The debate is over.

No it doesn't.
It has NOTHING to do with equal protection under the law.
If you are blind, you don't get a driver's license.
If you are handicap, you cannot fight in combat.
If you do not want to have children and contribute to society by providing the next generation, then you don't get benefits.
Marriage is not a fundamental right by logic alone. It is merely a kind of relationship, subject to a different set of laws that has nothing to do with personal liberty or rights.
Rights is that which you are born with.
Privileges are that which you must earn from society and meet certain conditions.
You are attempting to move marriage from one to the other, against all rational and logical arguments. "Marriage equality" is a oxymoron, just like "corporate equality" or "friendship equality" would be.
No one is being treated as a second class citizen, accept the very uneducated and ignorant that have not tried to think about this issue rationally.
Where does it say that if you get married that you MUST have children? There are many couples who are heterosexual, and either have chosen NOT to reproduce, or can't reproduce.

Red Herring. No one ever claimed that mariage means people have to have children.

Marriage is a special kind of union, just like a corporation, or military contract, or any other partnership setup.

What people agree to in these unions have nothing to do with civil rights or equality.

Not suppose to be regulated according to who? According to society, we don't allow children and relatives to get married.

That is called regulation. So once again you are not just wrong, you have no excuse to be ignorant of this fact.

All unions are regulated based on their PURPOSE. The laws of this country are subject to the public good, to the American people, and if Americans are educated and rational, subject to rational thought and reason. ALl nations will rise, or fall, based on society's conformity to nature, science, and rational thought.

That is why the debate is over for those of us that know the facts.

Yes, case is closed. Same-sex marriage will be legalized, and the discrimination against gays will finally end.

Wow, you aren't that bright, are you?

Procreation is possible outside marriage, and the state does not prevent married couples with children from divorcing. This alone disproves your notion of a state interest in procreation or child rearing relative to marriage. Your inability to understand this simple fact say more about you than anything else.

No I didn't.

I KNOW the type of UNION called MARRIAGE evolved for the PURPOSE of PROCREATION.

That does not mean people HAVE to have children. But there is certainly no point in joining hands in marriage when a corporate union would do just as well.

Nope.

I know the facts.

Yes, the People have an ABSOLUTE right to impose whatever rules they deem necessary.

Period. It is not for anyone to deny the absolute democratic will of the people.

If you don't like it, you can leave said society.

The US Constitution regulates the government, and guarantees nothing. It is also subject to change, as has been proven with addition revisions and amendments. And it may be revoked by the people at any time for any reason. The USC is a tool of regulation like any other document.

Rights only can be enforced when the people recognize their existence. The philosophy and ethics of rights are nothing more than tools to persuade people to recognize them.

You are mistaking thew actual power with ideals.

No one claimed procreation was not possible outside of marriage.

You cannot disprove what was not asserted.

So who is not so bright? Mmmfff
