'Twas the X-file before Christmas
and throught the barn was hey.
Something had crash landed.
I think it was a Grey.

The conspirasists were snug in their beds
whhile visions of overthrouwn governments
danced in their heads.

I in my PJ's and Scully in her nighty,
The X-Philes said "Yes", "Finally", and "Alrighty".

When out in the street I heard a few clicks.
I thought I should get Mr. X up here quick.
Away to the windoe I flew like a flash
And applied masking Tape in an X like slash.

The moon in the sky shown with grandure
I looked out the window and gave a gander.
When what to my wondering eyes would appear,
but Cancer man, and he was comming up here!

He sprung up the stairs lively and quick,
just like that other X-File, St. Nick.

Then outside my door
fourty two of course,
his called to me,
In a voice rather horse.

"Mulder, let me in
I have something for you."
I raced around the appartment,
I didn't know what to do.

I grabbed my gun and said
"Open the door slowly,
What's in your hands?
Come on show me."

Scully at that point came to my side,
I said "Hold on Dana,
This could be a bumpy ride."

Cancer man, came in the room,
and showed his hands.
I didn't lower my guard,
and tried to figure his plans.

I said,"turn around, and show me your back"
He turned, he was carring a pack.

He took off his pack
I leveled my gun
he exclaimed "Don't be afraid,
The pack's full of fun!"

He gave out presents,
To Scully and me.
The one's for the Lone Gunmen,
He left under the tree.

And with that he was gone
back in his car,
I knew this episode was over,
but he wouldn't go far.

I heard him exclaim,
as he drove out of sight.
Merry X-mas to all,
and to all a millenial night.

Here are some excerpts from a recent question and answer session with Dr. Wong:

Q: Doctor, I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life. Is this true?

A: Your heart only good for so many beats, and that it... Don't waste on exercise. Everything wear out eventually. Speeding up heart not make you live longer; it like saying you extend life of car by driving faster. Want to live longer? Take nap.
__________

Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake?

A: No, not at all. Wine made from fruit. Brandy is distilled wine, that mean they take water out of fruity bit so you get even more of goodness that way. Beer also made of grain. Bottom up!
__________

Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio?

A: Well, if you have body and you have fat, your ratio one to one. If you have two bodies, your ratio two to one, etc.
__________

Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program?

A: Can't think of single one, sorry. My philosophy is: No pain...good!
__________

Q: Aren't fried foods bad for you?

A: YOU NOT LISTENING! Food are fried these day in vegetable oil. In fact, they permeated by it. How could getting more vegetable be bad for you?!?
__________

Q: Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the middle?

A: Definitely not! When you exercise muscle, it get bigger.. You should only be doing sit-up if you want bigger stomach.
__________

Q: Is chocolate bad for me?

A: Are you crazy?!? HEL-LO-O!! Cocoa bean! Another vegetable! It best feel-good food around!
__________

Q: Is swimming good for your figure?

A: If swimming good for your figure, explain whale to me.
__________

Q: Is getting in shape important for my lifestyle?

A: Hey!'Round' is shape!

Had the larger excision yesterday, and I got my full report. The tissue was at a degree that my dermatologist said half of the docs in his practice would call cancer, and the other half would call it a bad precancer. He asked me what I wanted to call it, so I said that I'm going to have my 18 year cancer-free party this coming April, so yeah, I'm stupidly happy about that.

The downside is that I was in ER-level pain last night from the local wearing off from them having to go down into the muscle. Had to call in today, and I'm waiting to hear back from my doctor about some painkillers.

Hope you get the painkillers you need...wife just had her lump removed from under her arm...not cancerous but her underarm is hurting something fierce...they only told her to take advil or tylenol...

I'm glad that hear that you'll be cancer-free for 18 years this April...

Jez, reminds me of the doc that told me I was pre-diabetic, then when we left Lovelace for Pres I was told there is no such thing as pre-diabetes. You either have it or you do not.

Hope it works out for you and the pain goes away sir.

Looks like you sort of hit home on a bunch of peoples families being cooked here.

A lot of sour people this Friday giving you nasty icons for a receipt.

Like I said must run in their families and they can't take the heat.

Go ahead fools and give me the same silly meanness icons as I laugh at those that give them, they don't have the guts to say who they are.

KM, post ore food stuff, like stuffed escargot, fish head soup, snake steaks etc.

squirrels, cut into serving pieces, amount depends upon how many you can eat
~ olive oil
~ 1 large onion
~ 1 large green bell pepper
~ 2 cloves garlic
~ Cajun spice (Tony Chachere's recommended)
~ 2 tbsp Tabasco sauce
~ 4 tbsp ketchup
~ 1 tbsp Gumbo File seasoning
~ cooked rice

In a deep pot or dutch oven, heat some olive oil.

Season the squirrel on all sides with the Cajun seasoning. Add to the hot oil and turn to brown on all sides. Continue to cook until done.

Place the onion, bell pepper and garlic in a blender. Cover with water and chop. Add to the pot when squirrel is done.

Sprinkle the added vegetables with Cajun seasoning.

Add the Tabasco sauce, ketchup and the Gumbo File. Stir to mix well.

Serve over the cooked rice.

Enjoy.

Make sure it is true Texas bread, the thick kind and not like some brands that call it Texas bread yet is barely thicker than regular bread.

And don't forget either true maple syrup (not store watered down stuff) or true wild honey from Trader Joe's.

French bread loaf one slices themselves, and we have a small bottle of the true maple syrup. Damned stuff costs a fortune anymore!!

Remember Log Cabin maple syrup in the metal can w/ the screw off cap on the chimney?

That works too, can cut to any thickness you like.

Ah yes, good old real log cabin metal cans, worth a pretty penny if one has them today.

Years ago we had family friends who lived in Ohio and bad a maple tree farm and every year they would send our family a few cans, best stuff we ever had too.

As for the cost today, expensive yes but worth the price, just like pure honey, expensive but worth it.
