Both of these goons are an embarrassment to the county but Yaws has shown himself over and over to be one of the most morally challenged individuals on the county payrolls. At least Jeff and Vern have denounced these two and called them out for the scum that they are.

Funny how the only one of the three officers shot with any class whatsoever is the lesbian.Go figure. These two wastes of tax payer money make me sick.Yaws is know throughout the area as one who abuses the power given to him.Neves does his best to distance himself from those two just to save his own skin.If he had a brain he would have bounce Yaws off the force years ago.

well, I am from El Dorado county and I can personally say that Yaws has problems. He is arrogant and umsympathetic to residents of EDC. He is too worried about his own opionion of himself. My father is a retired peace officer, so I do have some experience to compare this guy to. Unfortnatly, standards get lower and the lowest fill the positions.

For your info the city listed is the location of your ISP and isn't always even close to where the person writing it is from. When I lived in Placerville and had ATT DSL it always showed me as from Sacramento. The Deputies in question here are embarrassing the dept by filing a frivilous laws suit that is bringing down the reputation of the El Dorado Sheriffs Dept. They have no chance of winning and actually their failure to follow procedure is what lead to them being injured. They are forcing this widow to pay for a lawyer to defend herself when she just lost her son and husband. These two deputies are below low. Both the Jeff Neves and the DA have publically called these two out on what a joke they are and they should be fired and stripped of their benefits.

You know it's interesting to see the hatred the community has developed for the two that a year ago well referred to as heros, and received such a welcome where ever they went. So how is that a law suit is such a damming thing. Citizens of the United States abuse the right to sue for just about anything. Open the yellow pages to the attorney pages. There's a lot in there for reason. Everyone use them sooner or later it seems. If you are so opposed to lawsuits good for you, but I doubt that all of you commenting on this issue would have had the guts to go out there in the first place. We weren't there and we don't know what happened, other than these two men and one woman did what they thought was best at the time for the safety of the community. Walk a mile in their shoes before you make another stupid comment. Is the lawsuit a little unorthodox, sure, but obviously they have a lawyer who believes they have a case. And if you think the Wife/Mother of the suspect isn't going to file a wrongful death suit sooner or later, well you're just naive. When she does how will you feel about that? What was wrong with his death? He murdered one person and tried to murder 3 more. He had it coming in my book. These guys just had the bad luck being there.

opinion.... are nucking futs!!! That is the craziest thing I have ever heard. He'll probably sue you if elected for not voting fast enought or something else rediculous. He took the job knowing the risk. If he didn't know the risk that he is as stupid as the press makes him look, not to mention that stupid picture in the paper.

I guess you think Murphy should run for District Attorney then....

Careful what you wish for!

cry me a river you sorry appologist. They were both considered scum before this entire incident.Maybe you are too dumb to understand why their suit is wrong for the county and wrong for the Dept but most of us aren't.

Why does anyone need to walk a mile in their shoes? "Men" that join law enforcement know the risks. This isn't a game of paint ball or a game of Cowboys and Indians. It's real. Law enforcement carry a gun for a reason. It's to protect themselves and the citizenry.
They have a lawyer that believes they have a case? Damn near every lawyer, in a high stakes lawsuit believes they have a case. It's a win - win for them. Even if they lose, they get their name in the media, receive attention and become "known"
Regarding a wrongful death suit, I hope you get your facts straight. Such a suit would be more frivolous than the two deputies' suit. I don't think anyone is naive. I do however believe you are confused about reality. I can't wait to read about my stupid comments to your post.

Hmmmmm, if they were both considered scum before this, you must be frequent flier. I wonder if you even possess the legal right to vote anymore? My guess is that if you do, it's because you took a sweetheart deal to reduce the charges.

You give Conservatives a bad name.Any Conservative worth a damn is outraged by these two idiots. They are public servants but all they are interested in is the prospect of dollars that they will never get out of this.More morons wasting government money, on this lawsuit and by collecting paychecks that should go to better candidates.Maybe you are happy about your tax dollars going to support these cheats but I am not.

The only reason they dropped their case is because they never had one to begin with. Why didn't they just beat her up and rob her like the thugs that they are?

Before all of you pass judgement on both of the officers, you might want to get the true facts of the case. Find out why the El Dorado County Sheriffs Office (Sheriff Neves) and the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors filed a lien against the lawsuit that these two officer filed to recover the cost of the incident. Thats right this is not a typo, they (Sheriff Neves and the Board of Supervisors) filed a lien against these as you call "scum of the earth" to recover the cost of the incident. Hmmmmm whos scummy now

Your post, while interesting, does nothing to change my opinion of the officers and their suit. Why should it?

It's very common to file a lien when there is a lawsuit for compensation for an injury. It has nothing to do with being scummy. It's about legality and recovering medical costs when a person files for compensation, AKA a lawsuit for injury-liability damages.
