Glimpse of History: Talent from the farm system

David and Brevoort Conover grew up on a farm in Cherryville. The brothers loved to play baseball, but since Franklin Township had no teams in the 1890s, they had to travel nearly five miles via horse and buggy to play with a team in Clinton at the Clinton Community Center on Halstead Street.
i remember some connovers from when i lived in pittstown. they were farmers.
i was born pittstown in 1946 at our home on race st.
