Lowe's Facility Opens in Luzerne County
One grand opening in Luzerne County means hundreds of local jobs. More than 400 people have already been hired at the new Lowe's distribution center near Pittston.

well the lowes in pittston pa is not a good place to work they fire you for dubm resons like punching in or out for breakes if you do it once its a half a day missed they go by occurances they say they go by a no fault but if you miss 2 in a ninty day period they lexure you about it. if you take off a day they stated to me "oh let me guess your going to ABUSE your time off" we'll i had the worst cold in years i took off early they never offer me vto since last year. the upper managment got in my face and started triing to make me fell little and way beneath him his name was na'tin and middle eastern lookin in decent. then they pick on certain people and let others get away with the same thing. the coaches will lie their buts off to cover for them selves and lowes will always take their side my advise is DONT WORK THERE unless you like to be board off your mind and if you like to be treated like you have absolutly no education. or like to be affraid of losing your job for any reason. oh and never help out another member of managment. they fired someone for that to.if they dont like you they will make your life a living hell to make you quit or they will find a reason. my problem was i stuck up formyself and they didnt like it. so they wrote me up for anything they could think about but yet never did that to a worker named fred that would do the same stuff. or a man named rick. however they wrote him up for the same thing. i went to the irb. the incedent review board.

Oh my god, are you serious that you had to work with difficult management? I have never heard of any such thing in my life! This is outrageous!
Based on your indignation it would seem that you could never believe that you may have been at fault in any way. You've admitted to being late multiple times, which I can only assume was due to sloppiness on your part and always a good trait for a new employee. If you actually wanted the job, you could have worked to keep it by practicing punctuality.
I particularly like the line "treated like you have absolutely no education". I'm sure it sums up the reality of the situation nicely. I would guess that your education would be sub-gradeschool. 18 misspellings in 325 words and a complete lack of proper capitalization takes the authority out of your attack. I may even have suffered brain damage from reading it. Thanks for that!
All things considered, I would not think the Lowe's warehouse would be any more difficult to work at than than any other similarly new facility staffed by newly minted management.

MY SON HAS BEEN WORKING THERE SINCE DEC 1ST, 2008. YES, HE SAYS THAT THEY ARE VERY STRICT IN THEIR WAYS. HE HAS MADE IT THROUGH HIS PROBATIONARY PERIOD (THANK GOD). HE IS MAKING A GOOD WAGE FOR THIS AREA, BUT UNFORTUNATLEY, HE IS ONLY WORKING ABOUT 15-20 HOURS PER WEEK INSTEAD OF THE 40 HOURS THAT HE IS SUPPOSED TO. THIS MAKES IT VERY HARD FINANCIALLY. LOWE'S KEEPS SAYTING THAT "SOON" THEY WILL BE GETTING THEIR FULL TIME HOURS THAT THEY SHOULD HAVE. IN THE MEANTIME HIS CAR PAYMENT AND CAR INSURANCE GETS HARDER AND HARDER TO PAY. I THINK THAT THEY ARE A BIT EXTREME WITH THEIR "OCCURANCE" THING. THEY DO GET SICK DAYS BUT IF THEY TAKE ONE, IT IS HELD AGAINST THEM AND THEY ACQUIRE AN OCCURANCE. AFTER YOUR PROBATION PERIOD, YOU ARE ALLOWED 10 OCCURANCES. ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT THE WAY THE ECONOMY IS TODAY, BE THANKFUL WHEN HIRED FOR A JOB AND DO YOUR BEST AT IT AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE RULES WHERE YOU WORK, FIND ANOTHER JOB...IF YOU CAN.
