Don's sell by date expired in 2005, time to toss him in the trash. They need to bring a younger anchor in with JOURNALISTIC SKILLS. We're sick of bright spots and news for nursing homes.
Couldn't agree more. Don is the reason I no longer watch Ch 13 news, due to his sing song delivery and lame story coverage. They desperately need a new anchor, and have for years. You said it's news for nursing home, and you're right. Other cities cover politics, the business community and legislation in depth, we get what a primary school is teaching their second graders. To return to relevancy, they need to replace Don. Maybe Brian Williams is available, he's not working.

Journalistic integrity is what we care talking about here. Alhart does not write the news - he's an ole man talking head. The REAL journalist is RACHAEL BARNHART. WhAM 13 has a "Ginny" clause -- no B@#$h pretty than her can be on channel 13

Don, as the lead anchor, has a major influence over what makes it to air. He seems to opt for hoaky, feelgood stuff that appeals to elderly ladies, without any hard coverage of politics. Unless there is a gospel choir singing in the atrium of City Hall, it doesn't get on.

He needs to go before he has a stroke on the broadcast (which I would watch). They could put up a banner that said BREAKING NEWS.

He should be spending this time playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He could show then around the assisted living home.

They probably keep the defib unit under the anchor desk, next to the stroke meds.

How would 13WHAM ratings impact on Don Alharts retirement? Probably not much . Time to retire Don.

Is Don Alhart a journalist? Does he writes his own material or just an overpaid talking head?

Success bothers you. Especially when it's a very successful self made white man.
Success is not measured by reading words. Any 8th grader can do that.

Doug should be pissed! Don is taking the job of a younger more charismatic, competent anchor.
Don should be ashamed of himself at 70 years old,
Retire Don and let the younger workforce survive in Rochester.
True. Any 8th grader can read words like Alhart. Get a Black Male Anchor here in the spirit of Frederick Douglas. Rochester needs a Black anchorman!!!!

He's not allowed to report from outside the studio. Due to workplace lability and elder abuse laws.

Our daughter buys $10. Gift cards to Mc Donald's and gives those out to the homeless
