F&G will not aknowledge cougars or wolves until they can no longer dispute the hard evidence. Once this is done the feds will step in and dictate who can do what, when and how on their own land. Think the laws are restirctive now just wait until we are determined to live in cougar or wolf habitat. I have seen a wolfs and know of many, including trappers who spend even more time in nature than I do. Most of the sightings of both these animals I am aware of, including my own are in the chain of hills that include Alton Mtn, Blue Job, Parker, Catamount(ie:cougar)Mtn. and the surrounding areas.
