I'm not suggesting that the cops are wrong regarding this incident. I agree they would have to use some means to restore order. But cops are bad. I suggest you read Delmont T Keyes v. City of Pittsfield. Cops even do bad things to each other. Also Patrick Duffy fired twice from the PPD. Once for a sexual assualt on a women who called the police for assistence. And for punching a handcuffed suspect in the face. Matthew Ortega who is still with the PPD had an affair with an auxillary cop. When she broke off the affair he stalked her. I don't believe he was ever charged with this. Merrit Heady was fired from the Great Barrington police for lying about an incident involving damage to his cruiser. But I do remember reading about an incident involving a young man who was abused while in custody. I thing another cop Timothy Hassett? was also involved in this incident. Hassett up and left the police dept. I could go on and on and on...AND ON.

Cops commit crimes all the time. They just don't get charged. As long as there are people willing to believe that cops don't do bad things they will be able to get away with it. I wouldn't doubt that this cop has done something to get fired for. They all do something or even worse nothing. I wonder how many times cops abuse someone in front of other cops and no one sees anything.

I agree there are bad guys in every profession. But what other profession can you shoot someone, taser someone beat someone up and then claim it's all in the line of duty AND GET AWAY WITH IT. AND they do get away with it too much.

Let me make this clear I'm not defending Matthew Trombley. I agree that something had to be done to control the situation. I said I'm suprised that this incident was able to get a cop suspended when so many others are ignored and denied.

Would you like me to list the amazing things that the good cops do every day. You don't often hear about that, do ya?

Im guessing a cop gave you a ticket or you may have been arrested for something you "didn't do".

Either way.. The above listed cops got what they deserved. Stop putting the good ones into the same group as them.

Okay about 5 years ago I had a couple too many drinks at a party. The cops showed up and offered me a ride home and when I said I could walk they said they would have to take me into protective custody. While we were in the booking room which is about 20 by 20 with all exits securely locked. Officer's Coco and Soules decided to shatter my ankle with night sticks and saying I tried to run away.LOL nowhere to go. Now neither of these cops were suspended pending the outcome of the complaint. I may be biased but in my opinion they should have been. The matter was settled out of court. I would go further and say the tazer is a dangerous weapon to use on anyone in case they have a heart problem.

I think it is so funny that you feel you can post information that is just your opinion..name, names and actions that might not be true.

Oh, and you feel because you hide behind a screen name that you can't be named. I hope some of these people that you name here, mainly some of the officers, read:

www abcnews . com today, and read the article Lawsuit Cracks Open Online Anonymity

I look forward to the day this happens around here in these small towns, and the names of these posters are released. that will be so great.

There are a few that I can't wait to see.

"Settled out of court" = allegations of abuse were found to be false.

You went to a party, drank too much, was "offered" a ride home from the police, politely declined, was booked for refusing the ride, was sitting quietly and complying with the officers instructions, AND WAS RANDOMLY BEATEN WITH NIGHT STICKS BECAUSE OF IT???? That sounds a bit off, don't you think? I think you may have neglected to include a few things in you attempt to get sympathy from us. Were you acting in an aggressive manner? Threatening the police either physically or verbally? Kicking? Any of this sound familiar? I just find it IMPOSSIBLE to believe that you were beat for being a good boy waiting for a ride home. When you're drunk and acting like an idiot, you get treated like one. You have to obey the laws EVEN WHEN YOU ARE DRUNK.

CRY me a river about what these geatapo SOB's have to do. They are paid very well for a job they chose to do. If they can't stand the heat on the street then maybe they should become cooks, ItT STILL DOES NOT GIVE THEM THE RIGHT TO VIOLATE SOMEONE OR ABYUSE THEM. 3 cops to arrest would pretty much seem that there was no need for the abuse, if 3 of them can't handle 1 little drunk then they are not fit to be in uniform.

This cheap punk wasn't harmed and is more than likely destroying another apartment as we speak. The cops did not violate this jerk and you have to be a small time street commando to stand up for him.It is sickening to read the response from your type when a drug useing creep is arrested. How can anyone side with such a sorry excuse for a man? Is this jerk what you hope you daughter bring home?
