Why not? Pittsfield can just keep raising taxes and borrowing money to pay for it? Money is not an issue. But please do not put a public restroom in it. There should be no public restrooms in Pittsfield. Tourists can go back to their hotels to take a crap.

and thugs. I was going to just say I'm a cop hater but I know the cops would just twist my words. Because they do that.

But anyway I read in one of planet valenti's rant that 'Morale at PPD 'at an all-time low, even the old timers will say this. The tension within the PPD is so thick, everytime you go in the building, you could cut it with a knife.' "Captain Granger runs the place, Red Dog said. "Chief Wynn is his mouthpiece. Wynn lets Granger run on any wild goose chase and head hunt he wants if he's got it in for someone[one of the officers]. Wynn is scared to take any action in fear of alienating his buddies. As far as I'm concerned, Granger is vinditive, plays favorites, and plays everything close to the vest. The problem here is that the thin blue line is tough to get over," Red Dog said, "but there are officers who are outraged by this."

Really before the someone builds a new police station for MicHELL Wynn, or to boost morale, maybe they should take an honest look or at least read planet valenti's rants on Steroidsgate, SRT OT SCAM, drug unit OT, secrets shared with Valenti from police officers who complain about how much "crud' is swept under the carpet and are allegedly outraged by it. Was the Steroidsgate story huge? Did it need to be investigated, and did those all the way up the chain of command need to be investigated? Also reported by Planet Valenti, according to his sources, "Watch out. These people are dangerous. there's nothing they wouldn't do to protect their positions and reign of power." One of the sources added, "I know that sounds a bit melodramatic, but it's not.

It's the reality of the situation." Planet Valenti claims he received this information from several PPD sources who spoke under conditions of strict anonymity.

From Planet Valenti

We're Getting Good Info and are Not Making Up the Facts.

The Planet has never outed a source in our 36-year career as a profrssional journalist. We will continue that skein. The sources who are supplying us with inside information of course are doing so secretly, with the understanding of anonymity, and with great care and caution. They have openly said they fear what would happen to them and their careers, to their families, should they be discovered.

Their caution suggests a climate of intimidation with the department-certainly not the atmosphere conducive to the citizenry feeling secure with those who are charged with protecting them and enforcing, in a moral manner, the law.

What if there's been a gigantic scam going on?
What if it's furthermore true, as The Planet's sources claim, that PPD Chief Micheal Wynn, has ordered an immediate stop in such likely OT payments, payouts, and payola? Could that be cited that maybe We The People are getting too close to learning about the scam? Could it be an attempt to try to diffuse the heat and hope that it blows over?

Again, we are raising questions by information that is being claimed as true by both those within the PPD(personnel who say they are upset by the corruption) and outside the department but assaciated with the PPD who have knowledge of current practices?

We will wait for the official press release from Chief Wynn, from DA Capeless, and from the Police union head Marc Maddalena.

We shall be waiting for a long, long time.

OT and Disability Claimes Drive Police Department into Debt...Fire and Peronnel departments also in the red ... Taxpayers have to cough up the difference to take care of the nearly $800Gs in over-spending ... Free Cash Follies' continue in Pittsfield, ripping off taxpayers ...

The fiscal good news: the city of Pittsfield's health insurance program ran at a surplus las year. The city pays for employee health insurance through the states's Group Insurance Commission(GIC), which takes advantage of pool coverage.

Now the bad news: Instead of returning the surplus to the taxpayers(since that's what surplus is in government: residents were taxed more than they needed to be), the city transferred the savings into the Police Department to make up for a $455,000 deficit recorded there.

TOUCHDOWN, GOALPOST, AND RED DOG - THREE PPD OFFICERS - BRING BACK STEROIDsGATE IN A BIG WAY; IN MEETINGS, EACH SHARES HIS/HER PIECE OF THE STORY

from
Testimony from Three Cops, from the Inside

Touchdown reported that this past week, the police union, led by Officer Mark Maddalena, met "to discuss a contract offer" from the c ity. Touchdown said that after the meeting, officers felt the meeting had an unterior purpose.

"Word around the station was that the meeting was also used as a 'feeler' to try to find out who's been talking about a 'No Confidence' vote against the Chief[Michael Wynn]," Touchdown said. "Officers felt that the union leadership was trying to sniff out who was unhappy with the chief and wanted the 'No Confidence' vote. The plan was then to report back to [Captain David] Granger and Wynn."

Whose in Charge at PPD: Wynn or Granger?
Touchdown said that some officers feel that "Wynn is losing his grip day by day and that Granger is really running things.

Touchdown also said that the Planet "must have really hit a nerve, because the city is pushing for mandatory drug testing in the new contract, and many officers are dead-set against it."

I do wonder why anyone would want to be part of a gang they fear. Not only do they allegedly fear what would happen to themselves and their careers they allegedly fear what would happen to their families if they were found out. So they have openly, in secret, with the understanding of strict anonymity voiced there concerns/their fears to Planet Valenti for their safety and the safety of their families from these dangerous people, the cops. None of them make me feel safe from any of them. If any of these cops stand there and don't do anything to stop other cops from hurting someone, they're just as guilty. And they're cowards. So I'm not convinced there are any good cops.

I read the Delmont Keyes case and Michael Wynn does not come off as one of the good guys in that story either. I don't know why in the world he's been appointed acting chief, unless of course it is for intimidation.
