Club Groove doesn't exactly sound like my scene, but I may wander by just to check it out.

Most of all good work to a 25 year old having the entrepreneurial spirit and hard work to provide something the Berkshires doesn't have.

Best of luck to him, hope the place proves to be a hit.

TYhey're asking for trouble with some of the music they're featuring. A good rock club would be less trouble and they could feature some good local and regional bands also. Good luck though, and hopefully the proximity to the police station will help quell the trouble.

Another place for the Eagle's Lush reporter to write about. What a job they actually pay her drink. She must know were all the DUI stops are.

I'm psyched to have a club in Pittsfield where you can actually dance. Looking forward to opening night.

I was looking forward to this club opening. However, I am disappointed to learn via the Berkshire Eagle that it is opening tomorrow.

I know that Pittsfield is not Vegas or NYC, but usually when we go out there we like to fill a limo and then order bottle service.

We had thought it would be fun to replicate that adventure here in Pittsfield.

I had sent an e-mail to Ms. Langlois asking her to inform me of opening night (a group of 20 of us would have gotten our usual Escalade from www.LimoAffair.net ) and enjoy the "VIP" area (which I imagine is their version of bottle service).

But with one day notice, people have to deal with babysitters, 4th of July 5Ks, other engagements, etc.

I'm sure Ms. Langlois will have no trouble filling the house, but there was a large group of us that was looking forward to going opening night (especially since I was setting it up and getting the transportation).

I'm sure that I'll pop in some time, but I just kinda feel as if the air was let out of my sails as we had been waiting for notification so that we could set up a great group night.

It's my fault, I know. I should have followed up again and again instead of just waiting for a another follow up (someone was kind enough to contact me to say that they would, well, contact me). But we were all very excite, and now I'm just depressed and ranting/rambling.

Ms. Langlois, best of luck to you and your new venture. Thank you for bringing a dance club to our area. I seems like it is going to be a fantasic place.

I hope to see you there sometime.

Oh yeah, right. A rock club like La Cocina. Never a problem there.
Yup, that's the ticket!

I didn't know that.

Despite the fact that it doesn't seem to fit into your personal schedule, a 4th of July weekend opening makes perfect business sense. Why not open when you have more people in the downtown area than any other day of the year?

As a business owner, I would think you would appreciate this.

Maybe their advertising didn't reach you but this opening schedule has been planned for at least two weeks.

But, nonetheless, I am sure that Club Groove will be disappointed that they miss out on a visit from Pittsfield's "high rollers". Perhaps they will be graced with your majestic presence in the future.

I love folks who take the attitude that nobody should be allowed to operate a club if there is ever a problem outside the club. so 98% of the people go and enjoy the music and have a good time - but because 1% or 2% of the time there is a problem with 1 or 2 people - then nobody should be able to go and rock out with friends and get a groove on.

Happy 4th of July !!!
