The new blessed names for our children wil be Osama, but I guarantee you that nobody will get for that. Why would regular american fresh from battle would mind. And here are some more up and coming names for our new society .. cleeevagee, boomboxer, afreeka, or just freeka for short. Co-fee, foreclosia, remember we have many a revered amount of non conformanr names. Cuba(we all loved that name for the 60's) Joseph( but only if you mean holy joseph, not joseph stalin). how come all the fidels go away? Isn't a little upstart to name a child jesus, are they dreaming or hoping really hard. What if your last name was crapper? Doesn't seem hillarios if your name is snickers? I could yuck yuck about this forever. My cousin is shaka zulu, is that ok??

Ok, as a former active duty Marine... Desert Storm vet... While I do not agree that these parents should have given their children such inflammatory names.. Here in America, we do have the right to be stupid or ignorant.

Now the article does read that the children were not taken away because of their names, but it has been my experience that when social services takes children away, the police are usually notified..(In case of any resistance from the parents) And the state rarely takes children from parents unless there has been a crime committed, and if that was the case, the police would have been notified.

Getting back to the rights.... In America, we (and no it isn't granted in the Constitution) have what seems to be a basic right to be stupid... No one can take that away from us... We have learned that from the recent polls after the elections...

Now I am not claiming that ALL people who voted were stupid or ignorant, but some were. People were asked who was in control in Congress, and most of the people asked said... Republicans... Now, in 2008, before the elections the House had 233 Democrats... And 202 Republicans... A 31 vote majority... The Senate had 51 Democrats and 49 Republicans... A 1 vote majority... And After the 2008 elections... The House had 257 Democrats, compared to 178 Republicans... For a majority now of 79 votes. While the Senate after the elections now stands at 58 Democrats to 41 Republicans...(Minnesota is still not represented in this total yet) with the Democratic majority now being a 17 votes. So, in both houses of Congress, the Democrats were ahead... Before and continue to be so after.

And also, I am quite certain that by now most people have either heard or heard of the Howard Stern "Interviews in Harlem!" If not, Google it... It makes for a fascinating study.

Point being... We in America, have an implied right to be complete idiots... But some people tend to abuse that right...

If you traitors-to-America read the article, you'd know that they were not taken because of their names.
I think all nazis in America should be executed summarily. Not because of their beliefs, but because mine and others' family members fought an died against them. You are enemies of this state.
BombinDresden,
First, there are no "traitors-to-America " here, so you can get that right out of your head.

Second, following your logic, Americans in what was Nazi Germany should be "executed summarily" not because of their beliefs, but because German family members fought and died against Americans!!
WE are enemies of THEIR state. Again, following your logic........just trying to show that you're not making sense.

To everyone else, sorry for going off topic, but just couldn't ignore this one.

Imagine you live in a liberal state like Washington or Oregon. Imagine you look out your window one day and notice the neighbor standing naked on their lawn and screwing the pooch (literally). Yes, it just feels wrong, and you know it's stupid, but there is nothing legally you can do about it.

And well... Maybe you better not Google anything... Since we have learned this week, that 2 Google searches is causing as much Global Warming as boiling a tea kettle on the stove for a cup of tea... And that is according to a Harvard Physicist.

you can't report it to the SPCA? At least the dog can be removed from the home. Although it might help if its name is Adolf Hitler.

Well, in that case, to conserve energy, I'll switch from drinking tea to caffeine pills and water while I troll the web.

Child abuse. That is most certainly a cause for legal concern. If you think for a moment that Adolf Hitler will be treated with compassion and understanding by his classmates for the next 12 years then you are without a doubt not from this planet. If you think that Adolf Hitler will endure this hatred and harassment with no emotional scars then you also have no understanding of basic human nature.

Whoa!! what country do you live in?? In my country the ask for my identification papers if I look suspicious, I live in a country where certain consumable items are excessively taxed so that I won't hurt myself. They tell me what I can eat, they control what I watch on tv. So I gotta wear a seat belt so you don't hurt?? Everything is government controlled. Gotta gun, nice.. don't get caught with it in this country, you will be punished. Did think y0u wanted to defend yourself against criminals that take our lives away by death or by starvation and homelessness. There is no freedom in the land of the free. Search and seizure is common place at the whim of an authority figure. Children may be removed from any home without trial or due process. Search of your property is allowed without notice or specific cause when it would be a danger to anyone. Dirty dish in the sink? TO the gallows!! Dust on the floor oh my god it's a filthy home. Read your law!! learn that anybody can steal your life, with or without a gun. I live in the united states of america! Live in fear beacause even your parking meters will call the police if you are late. Bookem' if I say the wrong words. Read the terms of agreement of this comment board, you can only speak what is allowed.

There was a lady who named her twin boys Orangejello and Yellowjello after you guessed it the Jello she ate in the hospital.

I don't it seems like these people had way more issues going on than just naming their kids something stupid. None of the kids looked well taken care of. They looked dirty from obvious neglect.

Mallory, I can't speak for anyone else, but I read it from the dateline down to the last word. Again, I can't (and shouldn't) speak for any one else, but I think when most of us read something like this where it says things like "State workers didn't tell police why the children were taken, police Sgt. John Harris said" we tend wonder WHY would state workers not confide AT LEAST in the police?

"Kate Bernyk, said she would not comment on any specific case" WHY not comment? If no comment, why not a discloser of why those kids were taken? Does the public, that provides the tax dollars so that "Kate" can get her paycheck not deserve to know whats going on?

"Court officials said the matter is sealed" Why is the matter sealed? Remember that deal in Texas some time ago where DCYS came in and rounded up, I don't know 30? 35? kids under 16 and claimed something or other about the kids being used for sexual reasons? Remember that? Texas, as I recall released a statement immediately. So what gives with N.J.? Why the hush-hush on this?

N.J. needs to charge the parents, or return their children! Until then, No matter how you slice it up, it still smells like last weeks fish to me.

Oh, and another thing while I'm at it....DCYS case workers in N.J. AND ALL OTHER STATES (and I sincerely hope some of you are reading this) need to be aware of the possible long term psychological affects when they go yanking children out of their homes and especially away from their parents. I think N.J. damn well better come up with a good reason for their actions.

In the original article about the cake, the father spoke a lot about how his kids aren't allowed to associate with black people and have been taught ways to defend themselves against society's refusal to acknowledge that some people are of a higher order and all that.

My guess would be that the children have been removed because of emotional abuse, which is exactly what brainwashing is.
