I heard about this on Howard Stern today, I can't believe the Eagle is checking Drudge Report and other up-to-the-minute websites to appear relevant.

What took so long taking the kids away from those two wackos. The next step should be sterilization or two lobotomys..and do it before a bunch of civil liberty shysters force their return to the "parents:

I would be afraid that other people with a lack of impulse control and better judgement would hear one of their kid's names and become so enraged that they loose control and physically attack them. Why would people name their children this way? It makes me think they hate their children, or at the very least could care less about their safety.

Were the Soretoros out of touch too??? I mean Hussein , a mass murderer, genocide, crimes against humanity..........
Or did Barry do that ON HIS OWN???
Your argument reeks of stupidity.
Saddam Hussein was not even in power when Barack Obama was born, thus his crimes have no bearing on his name.

God, man, I don't support Obama, you absolute moron, I just realize that your argument is the weakest and stupidest I've heard in a while. Which leads me to believe... you must be Glenn?

People are allowed to name their child as they please aren't they? Why other than Bill Cosby hasn't anyone with a brain said a word about the foolish nonexistant names that many blacks hang on their kids? And to those who think the government should take away their kids because of their name I strongly suggest you seek help as you are very sick people.

Actually, I agree with you. As far as I know this is still a country where you can name your child anything you want. While I wouldn't have made that choice, I would certainly defend the parent's right to do so. Unless there are other reasons for the action..and not just because the parents believe differently from the rest....this is a deplorable situation. I would be interested in the justification for this action.

The government took away the kids because of their names? Maybe the Israeli PM told them to! Talk about your Nazi states! Yo, NJ: what's in a name? Actions speak louder than words (or names). If I had to choose, I would rather name my child Adolf Hitler than George Bush.

The only reason why they would remove this kid from a loving home would be a Jew lawyer put pressure on the Government after he got calls from other Jews. Who else would be PO'ed over a name besides Jews and the nothing else better to do with their lives which would be radical Liberals.

This kid name was even accepted by the government until the media got wind of it, they were hassle free for 2 years, so why didn't this happen before the name was registered? Logical explanation Jewish run media and Lawyers.

How many kids get kidnapped and disappear never to be found, why not put those efforts into having these kids found and returned to their parents who miss them dearly? It's easier to harass people who name their kids ridiculous names, how many actors out there name their kids with ridiculous names yet no one has those kids removed?

Talk about your double standard laws only apply to low and middle class yet people like Madoff who is a Jew grossly breaches bail conditions mails millions in jewelries after the judge specifically told him not to remove any assets. Yet because he is a Jew he doesn't even get a slap on the wrist go figure but "madoff" with 50 million and gets bail so he can hide as many assets as he can, hmmmmmm bet the judge who granted him bail is also a Jew.

we stop letting these shadow figures come in and scoop children away from parents. if they cant tell you why they are taking them, then they have no reason or right to. even though the parents are idiots for naming their kids like that; it doesnt suddenly make them unfit parents.

i guess it just goes to show the police state we're coming into. "the nail that sticks out gets hammered down". this is just another news story to get people to sit down, shut up and conform.

If the childrens names are the sole reason for their removal from the home, somebody is going to be sued!
I am betting that some overzealous social worker has either trumped something up,or there is some minor infraction that is being used to hassle these parents for being dumb!

"A spokeswoman for the state Division of Youth and Family Services, Kate Bernyk, said she would not comment on any specific case, but she said the state would not remove children from a home simply because of their names"

If you read the article you would then see there are other reasons!!!!!!!!

It may have had something to do with the crematorium they were helping the kids build in the backyard and the homeschool classes in how to make lampshades out of human skin. The name issue was just tacked onto the complaint for good measure.

I read the article...and I'm sure they couldn't remove the children for that reason. Why can't they say why?? Seems whenever it happens in the Berkshires the reasons become public knowledge. When the state of Texas removed all those kids the reasons were broadcast thruout the world. Methinks there is no reason, other than tormenting the parents...there is a lot more to this than meets the eye. It needs to be investigated.

“Re Read”, if you had read “Ramdan”'s comment carefully, you would have seen "or there is some minor infraction that is being used to hassle these parents." And that it probably the case. NJ has an extraordinarily heavy Jewish population, and someone probably is out for vengeance. I remember reading that after his converted wife left him, a NJ Jewish man killed his own children rather than having them raised as Christians. NJ/NY is a very different environment than other US states. Someone probably is using a minor infraction to punish uppity non-Jews. But that is human nature. Unfortunately, the US government is going to be sued because of two stupid parents and one presumed social worker. I am surprised that the cake baker in the story refused to write the name. I wonder if he was Jewish or perhaps afraid of Jewish retaliation. It is a close ethnic group.
