What's all the fuss about?

He reported to the probation office, and he didn't get into any trouble during the one year period....

Case closed right!

I agree - who cares about Angelo and his fight with a hitchhiker? Who cares where he served out his probation and if he had to report every week?

The real story is about Alfies patronage job his poor job performance appraisals (what a surprise). Alfie got away with no discipline or improvement plan even with his poor appraisals.

I'm sorry folks but this issue is a non-starter. After taking a hard look at all of this, it appears that certain people within the cities political structure have been targeted for a take-down. It will be interesting to hear what comes out of the wood work down the road; who had an ax to grind and against whom and for what reason. Stracuzzi's issue has been out there for five years in the public domain but nobody went looking, until now and right on the heals of the mayors baseball ticket issue, Massamiano's issue and now the judges. Yes, all have issues but this is really beginning to smell like something else to me. I made some calls to a few friends in the judicial system and they feel everything was done on the up and up except now the press has it and they need to sell papers.

if anyone really thinks that Stracuzzi just happen to have a teenage "hitchiker" in his car and a fight broke out, you are pathetically naive.

It appears that we are getting a glimpse at an unusual common denominator amoung the Berkshire power elites. Know what I'm saying?

Quite the group!I would say Stracuzzi's probation was not supervised at all. Corruption in this City is unbelieveable. This whole group ought to be in prison.

Respectfully, this has nothing to do with "selling" anything. It has to do with asking questions that all journalists should ask on behalf of the public. If people don't think it's a big deal that a powerful figure is possibly given special treatment, so be it. If proabtion is just a joke, then do away with it. That way judges will be forced to make tough decisions and incarceration, not this rehabilitative horse ****, will become the norm.
If Straccuzi only had to check in with an office worker, and not a probation official, then why bother having probation officers. Why not give the office worker the same paycheck as the probation officer. Something tells me the worker would love an extra 10 or 20 grand a year!
If favortism is cool, then favor away. We all lose credibility if this is how things work in berkshire county. Just a thought
He checked in once a month. thats all that matters. This isnt about Stracuzzi. Its about PROBATION and He happens to be the pawn right now..

Yeah, throw the reporter in prison who is reporting the local part of a statewide investigation. But not the guy who pled guilty to assaulting a 16 year old. Genius!

Not exactly.
There were specific conditions specified in the Probation Order issued by the York County Superior Court judge and not all of those conditions were followed-up upon either apparently by defendant Angelo Stacuzzi nor by the Berkshire County office of the Mass. Probation Department.
no clue

The conditions obviously were followed up. He checked in, did his probation and its over. This incident was 5 years ago. Dont you people see they are using Angelo as a pawn? Their is no patronage here. Its a bunch of jealous people trying to bring a Good Man down for a mistake (None of us are perfect) that occurred. God dont like ugly and Karma is a bigger B!@ch than anyone of us can be. Keep your head up Angelo, You havent done anything wrong and that will come out in the end!!

There is more to the Biddeford, Maine conviction than what is being reported by The Berkshire Eagle.
Remember that Misdemeanor Assault & Battery, and Criminal Mischief is what Angelo Stracuzzi agreed to plea down to in order to avoid having to go to trial.
These were NOT the original charges, nor was there just one incident.

CORRECTION: There is more to the York County, Maine conviction than what is being reported by The Berkshire Eagle.
Remember that Misdemeanor Assault & Battery, and Criminal Mischief is what Angelo Stracuzzi agreed to plea down to in order to avoid having to go to trial.
These were NOT the original charges, nor was there just one incident in Biddeford upon which the charges were based.
