I am a Dan Bianchi supporter. I believe him to be an honest caring, gentleman. A genuine nice guy. But his political opponents are using these very qualities to subvert him. Dan needs to begin the changes he was elected to do and to make good on his campaign platform.Dan appears to be waiting for divine intervention to manage and improve the city. He truly feels all the political hacks and hold overs care for him and that city hall is now a kinder, gentler place. We citizens know it's not true. As any CEO knows, you must create your own team to be effective and engender cohesiveness. Danny, M'boy..retreads don't work and will sink you !! Try placing qualified paid personnel in accountable positions. We don't need only new appointments to the Pontoosuc preservation of seaweed commission. Dan, you got bigger fish to fry. Turn up the heat and get to it !

and thugs. Mayor I would like to know why the city is expected to be held at fault for the actions of an unnamed cop who was behind the wheel of a cruiser when the cruiser under the unnamed cop's control hit two parked vehicles before hitting the rear of another vehicle and then crashed in a gate at the JRC? And why aren't cops wearing name badges?

Good Question. But I don't believe the mayor gives a rat's about this blog.

and thugs. Even the cruisers in the PPD are criminal. Most likely they've picked up their criminal inclinations from cruising around with cops. Constant exposure to anti social behavior drugs and alcohol. No doubt some are just bad seeds, born with a criminal gene. MicHELL Wynn's issues are obvious. In Capt. Granger's case his 87 year old mother may have something to do with the way he turned out. There is a cover up within the PPD and it started long before the out of control criminal cruiser went on a crime spree joy ride.

Were there any real facts that came out of that? I am guilty of not reading the story. All I heard is that a cruiser crashed in the Morningside neighborhood.

Mayor's promise of transparency. What transparency ? Where is the open office hours for all residents as promised on his campaign trail ? And Peda. What Peda? It slipslided away just like hill 78 and the rest.

this is a good blog..talks the talk...it is a shot fired over the bow for the new mayor...if he wants to be a one termer he can keep the low profile.

The town needs a big strong personality like Barrett.(only honest)

One term may be all Danny needs to qualify for a big pension. Former city finance director and city councilor. Why upset the apple cart ? And doesn't Barrett work in a position appointed by the mayor ? I think it's a Ruberto reward.

Jonathon Levine's editorial in the Gazette this week clearly shows that Third Thursdays are not as positive as our city leaders would have us believe.
Businesses have voiced their "concerns" and several will not open during that time. First I have heard of this....certainly not from the Eagle. I hope the mayor and council take heed!

The person with the problem has to acknowledge the problem and has to have a strong desire to change.

I'm afraid Bianchi is ready to do neither.

Never really thought about it but things are still the same as when Ruberto ran the city. Same people, more tax and fees and what looks like more crime, no new jobs, on and on. Voters dupped again. This isn't what was promised during election. Change ? What Change ?

The change is that every dollar you make, you will be giving more of it the city of Pittsfield. The change. so to speak.

You should consider yourself lucky to live in Pittsfield. But, you will have to pay for it.

Get out now, before it's too late. We've just sold our house and are headed to a beautiful locale in Arizona. We can carry weapons for self-defense and the taxes are virtually nothing.

While you are eating franks and beans and being left defenseless fodder for the criminals, my family will be enjoying life the American way.

Bye bye, folks!

Maybe if everyone moved out it will become like Detroit. Property values drop to nothing and they just start bulldozing the houses.

Pittsfield a ghost town? Think it will ever happen?

No because then who would all the drug dealers sell all their drugs to?
