I think it is sad that Pam had to resign due to the unfair pressure by our local idiot politicians of Ruberto and Dianna Ruffer. She and Ruburto have made her life miserable ever since she announced her candidacy for mayor last year. But to submit an email to her boss the under secretary forbidding her from attending a council meeting is sick and very unprofessional. Now as a result of Dianna Ruffer and Linda Tyer we have seen our city planner fired for insubordination because they did not like that she had an opinion opposite of Dianna's and the mayors. Who are the puppet's and tattle tales here? This regime continues to bully and scorn without cause and seem to go to any length's to shut people up. you go mayor Mayor! Tell the good people of Pitssfield why Dianna is allowed to continue to lie and withhold information and you refuse to acknowledge your failures as our leader. Tell them how you have refused to respond to my request for information about the contract withBuddy lewis and Wahconah Park now that his backers and your good friend Mr. Duquette have backed out of backing him financially as partners. Tell them how you are looking for local business to bail him out by purchasing advertisements. That's what I call good planning. Tell them about how Matt Inhelder superintendent of water has been placed on administrative leave since my petition was filed requesting a full audit and what I stated during the campaign and throughout the last 6 months that unexplained overtime and money was being expended. Now that you have the facts before you it seems that he and Mr. Swales have earned more than $173,000 in just overtime over the last 2 1/2 years between the two of them not counting the base pay. tell them about the more than $3,000 cash missing from the turn in of steal to pearlmans and the overtime call in pay he earned while on vacation last January in Florida. Now things have been tabled and Rich Dahoney wrote a letter stating this has been under investigation since january. Thats a lie because if it had been he would have been placed on leave then not 5 months later. The information would have been made public by noew and it has not. The petiton would have been squahed and the councilors and Finance cimmity informed. But none that happend so the letter is a lie unless you can show proof that I am telling a lie. Tell them about the personal cell phone calls made by our management at the tax payers expense. I will bet you try to give John Barret the credit like he took when he gave his last report. Thats ok though. You are the one with egg on your face. Inform the tax payers of the total costs of the petitions i filed for cell phones,GPS, Trucks going home and used by our management. Tell them how Bruce collingwood admits to me in writing how he gives permission for those on call and management to plow their driveways out and upon returning home during the winter at the tax payers expense. I find your and Dianna Ruffers behavior criminal at best and absolutley unacceptable. Linda Tyer should be ashamed for drinking the tainted water and becomming involved in the likes of Jim Ruburto and Dianna Ruffer.
Are any of the above mentioned engaging in criminal activity? Actual crimes that they should be prosecuted for? As for Collingwood giving permission to plow drivers to plow their own driveways at tax payer expense, does he have authority to do this? Wasn't there a city employee who blacktopped his own driveway and got in a bit of trouble? Where is the $3000. from pearlmans, is it actually missing? I don't know Ms. Swales but what did he do to earn $173,000 in overtime, was it legal? Was it legal for him to earn overtime pay while on vacation? Was he working for the city of Pittsfield on his vacation in Florida? If this overtime was called in who took the call and did they know he was on vacation in Florida. Was this legal? Was he actually paid? Have you reported this to anyone?

But I'm glad to see you speaking up. For a while Jimmy Gleason has been speaking up, but there are no intelligent people that take him seriously. If anything, he compels people to take the opposing view. But I think that people will follow you. You are a sane and reasonable voice.
What's the next step? I think on Sturgeon's show you should propose the next step. Maybe it's an organized City Hall sit in on Friday at noon. A silent, but visible, protest to Jimmy Ruberto's tactics. Not only will that grab attention (notify the Eagle and the Transcript of the sit in), but it will allow you to gather names and contact information so that you can build a more unified voice.
....just some thoughts...
(and if the steps include getting rid of David Rooney, I'm in. That guy is pathetic.)
notify the gazette if you want an unbiased report.....remember the Eagle is part, a large part, of the problem

This is an interesting observation. There was a rumor going around about three weeks ago that JB III had landed some State job. I guess the rumor was true. The good ol' boys are alive and well and making underhanded back room deals. I'm glad my daughters took my advice, get as far away from Berkshire County as you can. And don't look back girls.

Hello Everyone...I wanted to clarify a few things with the article which was disappointing given the amount of information I provided. I didn't resign because of 'an inability to work with Pittsfield officials...' I resigned because they refused to work with MOBD as long as I was in my position and I have multiple emails to prove this (which I only Mr. Dobrowolski reported). And that the mayor or Ms. Ruffer are yet to give one concrete example of me not performing my job well. Instead, they make vague statements like 'it's past politics.' What in God's name does that mean? Tell me I did something inappropriate or unprofessional...prove that I wasn't doing my job...but they can't. I also resigned because my undersecretary, Michael Hunter, was perfectly willing to characterize Ruffer's and the mayor's behavior as 'irrational' and 'dysfunctional' to me but would not resolve it...it is an election year, afterall. I resolved it for him by quitting. The constant malice from City Hall was fairly overwhelming but when someone who has the capacity to do something about it does nothing, it was time I did something. And it's time we all do something. How much of this ridiculously mean-spirited melodrama do we all want to take as residents and taxpayers of this city? And that is the final point...public servants are there as our employees, they are there to be in service, they are there to behave honorably for all of us. Can anyone characterize the actions of this administration as having integrity, honor, or ethics?
The "malice from City Hall" that you mention, is obvious to most politcal observers and I find very disturbing.

wasn't that Amy replaced by one of Ruberto's junk yard dogs? I wouldn't say it was an improvement, but I won't miss her. Is everyone in city hall is miserable?

These are the ideas I was referring to. So thank you. I will be meeting with some people soon and am in the process of planning something. I am greatful for the support I am getting and the calls I took today on the Sturgeon show. I am sorry I was not able to let everyone know that I am also versed in other areas besides the DPW, but a 1/2 hr is not enought to get it all out their. I just felt it important to highlight the most important new information that has been kept quiet and from tax payers to date. I will let everyone know what I am up to next, and please keep the dialogue going and suggestions comming in.We can make a difference

GE, KB, and hundreds of other jobs have left Pittsfield during Ruberto's reign as Mayor. BUT, the focus should be on blacklisting one Pam Malumphy! There are priorities over principles: If it is good for Jimmy Ruberto, it is good for Pittsfield.

Ok first it was a combination of overtime between Matt Inhelder who was paid the most of the overtime and Kevin Swales who was paid the second most. This is public record. As for the call in pay and pearlmans. That is also information that has been brought to light and the investigation from the Finance committee's end was recommended to be halted by our acting city solicitor Rich Dahoney through the mayor. This was done because according to Mr. Dahoney's letter that was read prior to the start of the Finance meeting last Thurday they have been inverstigating since January. I disagree with that because it was not until I asked why hMr. Inhelder was not placed on administrative leave that that in fact happened. Now! The other point of contention is that if in fact Ruburto had been investigating this and the cell phones since Janiuary why havce we heard nothing until I filed the petition to have an audit? Why did the petition get as far as it did? Why was the investigation stopped when the reality of what was the truth was actually revealed? Ity seems to me that the mayor and Mr. collingwood are looking for ways to try to keep this quiet and not let you the tax payer know what is truly being ignored. The good part here is that I have seen the truth and know that all the councilors and finance committe have seen the truth. I knwo that I have made it public knowledge in the radio today. It in my mind is criminal. I however am not a lawyer or a prosecuter. I will be interested in seeing when this will be leaked to the media and in what fashion. Who will protect whom? will Mr. collingwood take the same leap of faith as our city planner did? Will the mayor ever say anything to the people of this city? I bet not. If so I will be shocked. I am trying to keep people as informed as possible with the latest available truth information without stepping over the ethical legal line myself. Even if they are guilty they have a right to due process as we all do. Lets just hope that this time around Ruburto has the guts to stand up and do the right thing and not shove it under another rug.

so what important jobs do Matt Inhelder and Kevin Swales perform that demands this overtime pay? Did BHS just appoint Richard Dohoney as a trustee?
