Our view: Request for gaming board investigation is warranted

The historical connection between gambling and organized crime has been amply documented over the years.

I find it hard to believe there could be anything corrupt with something Jeff Coy is associated with.

How about investigating the Pennsylvania gambling board. How is Nevada's board set up? How much are their board members paid? How much money does Nevada receive that is returned to its residents? How do casinos get their licenses? How much so-called property taxes are Nevada residents paying? How many legislators does Nevada have? Are they full or part-time? What perks do they receive? How tight are the ties there to organized crime? Are Nevada voters included in decisions that affect them?

Research in archives of the Scranton newspapers and the Wilkes-Barre Times Leader going back, say, 10 or so years, yields information about the infamous Louis DeNaples. The PA gaming board should be investigated fully. Coy is poster boy for the Harrisburg Harlots. 11 or 12 terms in the PA general assembly, big shot in the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania, and also getting a bundle for serving on the gaming board.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Industry and it's bloated over paid gaming board are just a cog in the wheel of the largest legal organized crime syndicate in PA, more commonly known as PA State Government. The Government has replaced Al Capone--They provide, distribute, control, and set prices for alcohol. They are in charge of all the legalized numbers racquets. They extort ever increasing tax revenues with threats of fines or arrest. Step out of line and their enforcers come take you away. Poor Al Capone couldn't make a living in today's government controlled legalized crime world. These Government slugs make huge salaries and do nothing productive, but they can sure shake down their public.

Much of the impetus comes from the sleazy, corrupt Democrat politicians in Philadelphia who help build a majority and helped elect Easy Ed also a Socialist Liberal. It is by any measure a corrupt administration that lives up to the moniker "Harrisburg Harlots."
