When my local school district hires a new employee I get out the family trees. No doubt the candidate hired will be a relative of the Board, Administration, or Teacher ranks.
In an era when a single teacher opening will yield a thousand applicants we could have the best teaching staff in the State.
I often thought that an objective merit system would be a good alternative to what we have now to get the best and brightest. Perhaps the State Civil Service System should do the initial vetting of educators using objective criteria and evaluation of student teaching.
School district would then request a list of candidates that selected their district for interviews.

Have you read of the recent hiring of the New Kensibgton-Arnold SD superintendent? You may find it interesting.

All classrooms should be inventoried as to the race of the students. Black teachers for mostly black classes, Hispanic teachers for hispanics and white teachers for white students. That way the kids could relate and we would not have claims of racism and unfairness. If the class make up changed, then the teacher would have to be changed as well. Relatives should be hired on the basis of their race as long as the above rules were kept in mind.

A white or black teacher, heading a class that is merely a majority of the instructor's race in no way would preclude racism, perceived or in actuality. You are clearly as ignorant as you are bigoted, and both are lamentable.
