Has KDKA radio lost it. With the exception of Honsburger and Dr Knowledge, the whole KDKA experience has really gone downhill the last year or so. The world's first commercial station is no different than the drabble heard everywhere else. The reception at night sucks and the whole format is just plain bland.

They even lost the Pirates. KDKA and the Pirates were synonymous with baseball on the radio. That is where it all began.

KDKA sucked for years, unless you are a baseball nut. The poiitical talk, as I recall, was pathetic. KDKA, like everything else in Pittsburgh, is about 75 years behind the times. Average KDKA listener:

Hey! Did anyone ever think about how much energy we are all saving now that they have 2 of the dumbest radio shows I have never listened to on KDKA radio instead of Gary Dickson? I sent an e-mail about KDKA firing Gary, but all I got back was a lame excuse. What was the so called hometown radio station thinking?? I KNOW I KNOW!!!!! MONEY MONEY MONEY!!!! When is Micheal Young going to do an editorial on stupid mistakes made by upper management? GET GARY BACK ON THE AIR!!!!!!

Laying awake at night is horrible when you get such loud mouth out-of-towners screaming in your ears. We have always had local people that cared about Pittsburghers to listen to - Gary, Bob, etc.
KDKA WAKE UP!! You have ruined your great reputation.

I USE TO LISTEN TO KDKA EVERYDAY, BUT I HAVE TO SAY THAT THE RADIO WITH THE PEOPLE THEY HAVE ON NOW. WHY ARE THEY PICKING ON MICHAEL SAVAGE?? THE GUY NEVER WAS AGAINST THESE CHILDREN ! SEEMS TO ME THAT IT IS A "PERSONAL ATTACK ON HIS POLITICAL STAND "--YOU PEOPLE OWE HIM AN APOLOGY, YOU SHOULD TAKE THE TIME TO HEAR ALL OF WHAT HE SAID. Why is Rob Pratt still on. Hes a talking commerical. If he likes the product he never stops mentioning it. Who cares about Mountaineer RaceTrack every 5 Mins.

I agree, Pratt's not a personality, he's a wanna' be that's never gonna' make it any where except in the "hustle" side of radio.

KDKA's really down the tubes, not worth listening to anymore. Commercials and more commercials.

Could someone please tell me what weather-girl, Valeri Abati did to warrant being fired? I watched her on that date in June when there was a tornado warning, and I didn't see anything that she did wrong. She tracked the storm just like the other two stations and kept us up-to-date on it. Please clue me in on what I missed about her performance. It's just not the same Big K anymore.

I agree, they seem to be tryin to find a way to stay alive in all areas. Thats constant turn over and still the same O'll same O'll. They soon must start to realize that not everyone is 68 and lives on the Hill. Some of us are only in our mid 20's but do like to listen. Young women are nice but without any content, it's never gonna work.

I agree with everyting said> I miss the talk show after midnight. The after midnight show is awful and the reception is really bad.

kdka radio has not lost it. since they replaced mike with marty in the mornings 9-12, i look foward to martys show. he really gets after it,and he is not afraid of any of these politicians. i must admit i have even began to like kevin miller show. i think its a winning line up
