I had the unfortunate experience of visiting the Pittsburgh Parking Court last night. Is it just me, or all the people down there completely rude and ignorant? Especially this black female, when you walk out of the courtroom, straight to her desk That woman needs to learn she is the one that is working there and needs a lesson on manners. This is not the "hood" she is at and she is only an employee, not a queen. And lets not forget the judge, who, you barely get started and it is obvious they are defending the parking ticket people? I would LOVE to sit outside and just see how many tickets are actually dropped? Probably less than 1% as we lost and the whole thing was ridiculous. This is just another way the local authorities "stick it to the people." Anyone can get a pad and write tickets and the courts automatically belive they are correct in just about everything they do or write. You just cannot win here. You have no chance whatsoever. The judge doesnt even listen to you. Isnt she supposed to be a non bias tryer of facts? She is far from that.

I do realize sometimes people are in the wrong place blocking things or other misteaks, but in our case, we were totally in the right as my friend didnt even get the freaking ticket. He backed out of a driveway, the phone rang, he stopped a moment on the street, answered the phone and was on his way. Somewhere behind him was the parking bimbo who was madly writing, but didnt even give my friend the ticket. So, of course, when they finally sent it to him, the fine was way up there. Isnt PARKING, parking? Not backing out, hesitating for about one minute, with the motor running and an individual right in the drivers seat? THAT IS NOT A PARKING TICKET MY FRIEND. But they got their $50 anyway.

Wouldnt you just love to be able to sit there and write tickets, have the courts validate them by not listening and assuming everything you did was right and correct and then forcing people to pay money, they really shouldnt? Thats the Pittsburgh parking Court. And of course, then have to meet that black female right outside the door of the courtroom. That woman clearly needs smacked.

My oldest daughter and her husband had the misfortune of going to the traffic court to explain what happened to them. You are not alone in your frustration. As for courtesy...Ohhhhhh, I sooooo agree with you. I raised my children with manners; they're raising their children with manners. It's not a subject taught in the schools. It's taught in the home. A little courtesy goes a long way.

I was recently at parking court the other day for parking in a handicap parking spot. I am handicapped but however the officer writing tickets did not see my handicap placard. I went into court and the judge ask me how I was handycap and i explained to him that I have a degenerative bone disease. He dropped the ticket because I had all the correct paperwork proving that I was handicap but he made a comment saying that he did not believe that I was handicapped and I was taking advantage of the system. I was in total shock when he said that! I was totally panicked and someone owes me an apology....( Judge Reed). How dare that man question my physical health??? I want and need an apology and will not stop voicing my opinion until I get it!!!! Shame on Judge Douglas Reed!!!!!!!

The very heavy set so called judge is probably not a judge at all. The entire staff is contracted out. It's not over till the fat lady sings out your fine.

Oh my Big daddy.....You must have gotten several parking tickets in the past to warrant such a problem. I would just begin by calling them and asking if you might be able to make payments on this. I seriously have never had this problem, so I just do not know where to begin. But I always begin by calling the department, whomever it is, and simply asking what are my options. But remember this, they have your car and can probably get their money by their sale of your car, so they basically have the upper hand and believe me, they KNOW it. And if you do not get any satisfaction by calling and asking, I would call just about everybody connected with Pittsburgh. ie, City counsel, mayor, everyone as remember, the squeeky wheel DOES get satisfaction. Just keep bothering everyone....someone will help you, at least hopefully if just to get you to quit calling. LOL Let me know how you do and good luck big daddy.
