Don`t believe the hype at AGH

If you or a loved one need to be treated or hospitalized,be careful to reasearch your choice carefully.Different publications claim that Allegheny General Hospital and its so called "specialists" claim to be the "best in the city","best in the state",ect..This is deffinatly not true.
Aviod Dr David Medich.He is listed as the #1 colon/rectal specialist in Pittsburgh.What he really is is a arrogant,un-caring doctor who believes he can walk on water.He will answer your questions with an attitude as if you should not be questioning him.
Although the care and compassion of most nurses there is outstanding,you will find it only takes a couple of incompatent people,to jepordize you or a loved ones well being.This may be do to that paticular person or the directions they were given.Either way it could cost you your life.
I urge you to consider other options and don`t just take comfort in the fact that some publication say`s that this hospital or doctor is the "best in Pittsburgh".

Dr. Medich was reccommended to my husband. I can deal with arrogant, if he is good. Is he?
If we do decide to"go with him" I will let him know that only ONE WALKED ON WATER!
Still doing more research on him, thanks for your input.

My loved one died from what I believe was his failure to find the cause of an infection,due to his belief that he could not have made a mistake.My loved ones condition quickly deteriated two hours after this doctors SECOND attempt of a colostomy operation(the first one,four weeks earlier,became obstructed and never did function properly).Within five hours,my loved one was in I.C.U. with an infection.They tried to find what caused the infection by focusing on things unrelated to the surgery. It was discovered that the staples he placed after this SECOND colostomy came out and leaked,but it was to late by then.My loved one died within four day`s of this surgery.Other specialist in I.C.U. missed this also because of what I believed is a fear to second guess this doctor at this hospital.FIND SOMEPLACE ELSE !
