These type of actions can BE reported and over turned.

Ain't got no school learning like you, you so smart and got all the answers, but me show you, sit back and keep an eye out and get schooled on what can be done. You not as smart as you think or you wouldn't have done what you did. We see what you did there!

Huh? If you're going to comment, at least try to make sense. And report all you want to who knows who, because, again, unless something illegal and/or in violation of State Ed. Law was done, you're going nowhere. Seriously. Honestly. It's just the way it is. Go to the Board meeting, tell them how you feel about it, they'll thank you for your comments, and it won't undo a thing, because it's already done. Have you called the Attirney General yet? Bahahahahahaha!

I'd like to know why my previous post on this thread was removed? It was a simple equation expressing that one employee lost their position completely and another is receiving a demotion resulting in less income. Which suspiciously equals the salary of the newly appointed, part-time, IT position that was developed for the recently retired Mr. Reynolds. Why was my post removed, however "Duh" who seems to be protecting and encouraging this situation, seems to be able to voice their opinion freely and often on this thread.

<quoted text> Yes. It most likely comes from the money in the total budget that the taxpayers voted on and approved. Well, actually, if you want to be technical, they really only vote(d) on the amount of the tax levy, not the actual budget. Or maybe it was a grant-funded position. Either way, it has already been approved, so you're beating a dead horse. By all means, go to a Board of Ed meeting & let your displeasure be heard- that's your right as a tax payer. But that's about all you can do.
I'm sure the taxpayers do not fully comb through the budget to make sure some employees are not being screwed over for the bennefit of others when they cast their votes. Like myself, most taxpayers trust that decisions made by administration and the BOE are in the best interest of everyone and not just a few.

Again- I'm not saying that how this was handled was right or wrong. However, you clearly don't have all the facts (nor do I, for that matter), so the rants and accusations that you throw around on here hold no merit. Is it possible that this new position was a grant funded one? Or a position that is covered by Federal Government money? In either case, there is no direct correlation to other positions being cut. I imagine that they were cut in the budget that was put up for vote by the taxpayers, which was approved, and this new position was either already also included in that approved budget and/or came from a different source of funding that can ONLY be used for that specific position. You have to know for sure before you start throwing around accusations. Situations like that happen in every District around. Teachers, custodians, etc. have their positions cut, but money appears from other sources to hire someone for something entirely different, an IT person, for example.

And as for your comment that I am "protecting and encouraging this situation, seems to be able to voice their opinion freely and often on this thread"....

1. I'm not "protecting" anyone- and against what would I be protecting them from?

2. I've offered no opinion on the situation, just offered facts regarding the process, which you clearly don't understand.

3. I never saw the post you say was removed, but if it mentioned names and/or accused people of doing something illegal, corrupt, or otherwise, it may have been removed to protect the site from accusations of libel/slander. Like I said, I didn't personally see it, so I don't know what was even in it.

4. And lastly, I've already encouraged you to go voice your opinions to the Board of Ed., and maybe you can get some better answers. But that means that you will have to show your face & not remain "anonymous" like you are able to on here. Trolling for gossip and "he said, she said, they said" on this website isn't going to get you anywhere.

Don't accuse others of remaining anonymous on here unless you are willing to produce your identity. Furthermore, the recent track record of the administration and BOE at DCS and how they approach situations has not been impressive by any means, i.e. the athletic director situation. So unless you can provide further information to back-up your position and prove mine wrong, don't waste your time trying to impress me with "is it possible" and "what if".

Again... I'm not backing up a position, because I don't have one. I have not offered an opinion, just clarified the process. You are very dense. What did I encourage you to do? Find out REAL facts, such as where the money for the position came from. Clearly, you are too afraid to actually do that in person. I could care less. But you do seem to be the only one (and your many aliases) who does care. There doesn't seem to be any outrage over this going on. Sorry to hear that you're not pleased with the administration & BOE - the only way to fix that is to find people to run against them & hope that they win. Until then, keep posting on topix. It's very effective. NOT.

Duh, thanks for your condescending response. If you have no position then dont waste your time defending one and arguing with me and other concerned residents of Dolgeville on here. Based on your posts, you're definitely not neutral to the situation. We have no reason to believe that anything other than corruption is happening at that school right now. Again... if you have no opinion, move on to another thread or another village and try to baffle those people with your B.S. Have a nice day.

Haven't you figured out yet that you have to be related to somebody that already works there to get a job? That's part of the hiring process at woodchuckville central.

Yep, she resigned. She wasn't fired or lost her position.

So who lost a job up there? They never let anyone go up there. They just keep raising taxes.

So have you heard back from the Attorney General yet? Did the guy they hired for the IT job have to give the job up? What's the status of your little crusade?
