It seems anytime remarks are made about the school board the topic is removed. It makes you wonder who is monitoring and removing these remarks.

This board is letting our Super, and side kicks, run the school into the ground. The board president and the rest of the crew fail to see that this Super can not handle the job. Very poor decisions are being made and the school system as a whole will suffer for it, witch in turn will fall onto the tax payers. I hope this administration feels real good about themselves after they make sure they are taking care of in retirement while others loose their jobs.

are you kidding me! I heard whats going on up there! I'm not sure if its even legal, and if it is it shouldn't be. Spouses should not be allowed to work at the school for this very reason! What is this Board thinking letting this happen. WOW!

this shouldn't happen, why are the board members allowing this? People should pick up there phones and start calling these board members and start complaining. The Attorney General should be notified on what's going on here. The Superintendent should of never hired her husband, its a conflict of interest! I bet they are laughing all the way to the bank.!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Reynolds was working at the school way before his wife was made Super.

so this means its ok to hire him at a30,000 dollar part time position that we don't even need. And I must say he's not even that good at what he does. If Mrs. Reynolds wasn't Super this would of never happened. This type of favoritism needs to stop. Policy's need to be passed at the board level to stop this type of practice. Maybe Mrs. Reynolds needs to step down because its clear to me and many others what is going on here. This board of education needs to step up and start doing the right thing and start protecting the tax payers from this from happening.

There's absolutely no law stating that Superintendents can't approve the appointment of a relative to a position in the School District. Whether you like it or not, there's nothing you can do about it.

But there is and it will be made clear in time!

Sure. Keep telling yourself that. There's nothing illegal or in violation of State Ed. Law regarding hiring relatives in the Public School System.

Duh, you must be part of their good old boys club, nobody in there right mind would be defending such actions. Why hire mr. Reynalds as Part time IT for 30,000.00when the school already contracts and pays BOCES for the schools IT service. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. It's clear what's going on here. The last time I hire Mr. IT to fix my computer, he not only charged me to much but it still doesn't work right. He's not good at what he does. People lost there jobs while others are padding their pockets. Changes are in this schools future, the tax payers are fed up with with these type of actions!
Oh by the way, these school employees better not be having breakfast at Motors on the tax payers time anymore! The tax payers are watching!

. Incorrect. I'm not part of any "club". I'm just stating an obvious and simple fact that while you don't approve of this hiring, there is nothing you can do about it. If it makes you feel good to come on here & complain about it, then good for you. But it won't change anything. And I think that is what really p*sses you off.

Do you understand where the salary of $30,000 a year comes from?

Yes. It most likely comes from the money in the total budget that the taxpayers voted on and approved. Well, actually, if you want to be technical, they really only vote(d) on the amount of the tax levy, not the actual budget. Or maybe it was a grant-funded position. Either way, it has already been approved, so you're beating a dead horse. By all means, go to a Board of Ed meeting & let your displeasure be heard- that's your right as a tax payer. But that's about all you can do.

I seem to have hit a sore spot. That's what this forum is all about. To air out things, inform others. And this is a subject that needs to be looked at. Like it or not Duh, there are things the tax payers can do. One is to contact their board members and let them know how you feel. Another is to contact the Attorney Generals office that investigate matters like this one. If you are happy with this type of management than I believe it says a lot about who you are as a person. Karma is a powerful thing. I will no longer comment on your post.

I have two things to add:

1. When did I ever give my opinion on the situation? I didn't. I just told you that you will get nowhere in your little quest here, because nothing illegal and/or in violation with State Ed. Law was done.

2. Attorney General's office??? Where on earth did you ever get that idea? Let us know how that works out for you. I'm sure they'll hop right on it.

The point is that it was already allowed- with an e-d at the end, as in the past tense of allow. Unless you think that when they approved the person for the position they shouldn't have done of out loud. And don't think you're fooling anyone by changing your name from "on looker" to "out sider", because clearly you have as much trouble with compound words as you do with past tense. Give it up and accept that it is out of your hands.
