I think that it would make more outreach and financial sense to have an open club where people can come and pay dues to join. The fact that it is hard to join makes it a turn off to the locals! Which in turn makes people under educated on the trails, rules, and regulations as well as not knowing the trails they can use as an alternative makes them use trails they should not. This makes landowners upset and could potentially make it harder for the snowmobile clubs as well to keep their current trail systems open. Just one mans opinion as a current concerned trail rider. I can understand a club wanting to keep out trash! The easy remedy for that is if you act a certain way you can have your membership revoked. I welcome comments.!

It would be nice if people had a club open to riders. Just because someone rides a "quad" doesn't mean they are going to trash trails or disrespect the land/owners, etc. along with that when we think of making more options and creating a gathering of like minded folks in the area that will help everyone be responsible for any negative actions that may occur on the trails and this can likely lead to less of this happening because you would have a group of people out there working together. However, small minded folk seem to like to stick to just their private group and that is it. Sad thing if you bring more people together that means more people who know others and can work to get more trails open too!
