Fire Insurance Fraud Rat

The rats come out soon as the flame dies. Friend of mine lost the place just two days ago. Now making up stories about destroyed 100 art treasures and book in process, in an effort to collect. Anything of any value was sold years ago when the owner moved out of town, came back for visits. No art, no giant tv, no computer, house almost empty getting ready to rent. False claims are gonna back it harder for those who have real loss, house and real belongings. not made up collections, made by someone with made up job title as well. Please true loss is overwhelming don't insult with lies about lost wealth just to get your name in the paper and to collect.

If you have a reasonable suspicion that someone is attempting to commit insurance fraud, you may report it to the following entities, who will usually forward the information to the appropriate insurance company. Or, if you know the name of the insurance company with whom the claim is made, you can look them up on the California Department of Insurance website and call them. All insurance companies in California have fraud units called Special Investigation Units, or SIU's, to investigate and combat insurance fraud.

www.wetip.com (anonymous reporting)
California Department of Insurance (again, can be anonymous reporting) www.insurance.ca.gov
National Insurance Crime Bureau www.nicb.org

Insurance fraud costs EVERYONE money. A portion of all insurance premiums are directly related to the potential for fraud. We all pay for it. Reporting suspicious activity only takes a minute or two and the insurance company does the rest.

I'm a Calfornia insurance fraudbuster. If I can be of any further direction, please keep posting.

Found this bit of news on the NBC website. It has a consistent similarity to Jack's post.

"Cate Baker-Hall, 55, an artist who has lived on a 7-acre property since 1984, said her three-story home burned to the ground. She lost a collection of more than 100 paintings, lithographs and other art works, along with a manuscript of a book she had just completed on the 1960s British band, The Zombies, she said.

One bright spot: she recently removed a valuable collection of works by artist Edward Ruscha.

The house "is just gone," she said. "I'm trying to take the Buddha approach and deal with today. There's only so many tears you can cry." "(End quote)
She was not fire insured

It is my understanding that Cate did not have fire insurance. Why would someone attack this woman who has lost so much? Shouldn't they check to see if she has a claim before they post an atack like this?

I know this woman Cate Baker-Hall she owned an Art Gallery in Yucca Valley and a beautiful home in Pioneertown filled with art. The house was insured but not the personal items or art. The house can be rebuilt but the art and books are lost.

I am an online student of Utica College, Utica, NY. I am working on an MBA in Fraud Management. I live in Vacaville, CA. I also work a full time job.
My question is, where can I go to work part time or as an intern to gain fraud investigation experience? Please email me at [email protected]
