Fascinating! Lamp oil smells like rocket fuel, and jet fuel, because that's basically what it is. People have been using vegetble oil for lamps for centuries, and more recently in floating candles, where the flame heats the oil before it is drawn up the wick. Best of luck to you, Judi.

Clay lamps using vegetable oil have been found that probably date back to the year 4500 B.C. or earlier. So, I am a bit confused about what this artist invented?
