In fairness, the definition does mention, despite the words heritage, that it could be considered offensive. Terms and usage is not always black and white. Look at the N word for black people.
However the homophobic but gay islander with the extreme tan deserves a good tongue lashing.
People who want to be offended because of their persecution complex will always find a way to be offended.

The Xtian guy from sarcasticxtian ( http://sarcasticxtian.com/about/ ) sums it up nicely...

Why the name?

Why “Sarcastic Xtian”? Well, you need a name, and catchy or provocative names are a bit more memorable than “Scott’s Blog”. As for the “sarcastic” part, I covered that in an early post.

As far as “Xtian” as opposed to “Christian”… This one is kind of funny to me. I’ve heard people say “Writing ‘Xmas’ is trying to eliminate Christ from Christmas”. I’ve heard similar comments about “Xtian”. This strikes me as incredibly fearful – not to mention ignorant of history. I don’t think there is anyone alive today that doesn’t know Xmas is an abbreviation for Christmas, which contains the word “Christ”. But this is not a new movement to hide Christ. This abbreviation has been around a very long time.

The labarum, often called the Chi-Rho, is a Christian symbol representing Christ. It is a symbol comprised of our letters X and P, which in Greek are the first two letters of “Christ”. This symbol has been around, and directly representative of Christ, since at least the 4th century. There have also been numerous versions of ichthys symbols since the first century – all representing Jesus. Ichthys is Greek for fish, but in their alphabet looks like ‘ΙΧ&#920 ;ΥΣ’. It is an acrostic for “Jesus Christ, God’s son, savior” and writing it or one of its representative symbols has always identified someone as Christian. It was often shortened to simply ‘X’, as the X was the letter in the ichthys that represented Christ’s name, and the letter is also reminiscent of a cross.

Xtian (and Xian) are widely accepted as shorthand for Christian. I chose the former because Xian is a city in China and has other uses. Xtian seems to be less cluttered in its understood uses.

The short version is this: if you want to be offended, you will likely find a way. But in these days of texting and Twittering, abbreviations are making a comeback. It’s just the way it’s done. So, if LOL and BRB don’t offend you, then you should be just fine with xmas, xtian

I am actually leaving but was checking to ensure that I had responded to all CS posts and low I saw this CS of yours."Now substitute Jews for Christians and Judahists for Xtians"
Son, I want you to STUDY my words below and get the BRIGHTEST of your religion to contemplate them as they are challenging words for your intellect among other things.
Before you all read them let me say something which everybody in the world knows i.e. a JEW can be a Christian. Christian is RELIGION whereas Jew has to do with family lineage.
Christianity was started by JEWS and so this in itself should tell THAT fool something contrary to the LIES and DECEPTION that is promoted over that side of the Jordan.
Oh your substitution recommendation was actually BS as it does not apply to my post below.

Do CHRISTIANS call themselves Xtians? ANSWER.
How many Christians know your Xtians? ANSWER
I am CERTAIN that the "word" was NOT coined by any Christians. I am confident that it MUST be from those who are HOSTILE to Christians.
There are over 2 BILLION Christians and I can tell you that NOT a SINGLE one of them call himself or herself a Xtian.
Please explain the use of the chi rho symbol by members of your faith.

and again, even in the last couple of posts, I have refrained from calling anyone a Xtian. The only times I used the word was in the context of defining it.

Not bad for an alleged PEOPLE LIKE ME, huh?

Truth NEVER impresses people like YOU. Do as you are told, I would make it a sample of 3 on this FORUM and NOT 2. So it would be 3 out of 3.

In your country of well over 300 MILLION persons YOU have debated and supported a sample size of under 50 to speak for the ENTIRE country. Now you have a problem with my survey and note I know THOUSANDS of Christians and NOT one calls himself Xtian.

Shamma and Buford would also know many based on church, family, work, school etc and so the sample size would not even be 3 but THOUSANDS.

Did YOU understand the questions ?

Get someone to explain them to you, Judaist.

Ask Shamma if he calls himself a Xtian.

Buford was a Christian ask him if he has ever called himself a Xtian

I have also said ask them if they know of any Christian who calls himself Xtian.

Now get behind me Judaist.

NOTICE TO ALL WHO LIVE IN JAMAICA:

out of profound respect for your tradition and heritage, I shall now use the term Xtian.

----------

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xmas

The Oxford English Dictionary (OED) and the OED Supplement have cited usages of "X-" or "Xp-" for "Christ-" as early as 1485. The terms "Xtian" and less commonly "Xpian" have also been used for "Christian". The OED further cites usage of "Xtianity" for "Christianity" from 1634.[2] According to Merriam-
Webster's Dictionary of English Usage, most of the evidence for these words comes from "educated Englishmen who knew their Greek".[11]

In ancient Christian art, χ and χρ are abbreviations for Christ's name.[20] In many manuscripts of the New Testament and icons, Χ is an abbreviation for Χρι στο ς,[21] as is XC (the first and last letters in Greek, using the lunate sigma);[22] compare IC for Jesus in Greek.

Paranoid one, being a JEW has NOTHING to do with your taste in music. Jews in Jamaica like reggae and it is possible that THAT moron likes it as well.

Cut the persecution complex and seek medical care if necessary. Jews are people. They are no different than anyone else and so whatever can be said of humans as a rule would also apply to Jews. Now get off this Jew crap and focus on the discussion.

Read with UNDERSTANDING.

Who the F are you to ask me such a thing?

Do the survey and ask the known Christians on the forum if they call themselves Xtians and if they know of any Christian who does.

I tell you the truth, only the lunatic fringes would call themselves Xtians. Observation, you are certainly a member of that community even though you have a different religious affiliation.

Please spend the time to THINK and to understand you lesson below.
Son, I think that the comparison befits your intelligence. I don't know the actual words of the men in question but I am willing to guess that they were NOT about HATE instead they were about DISAPPROVAL of homosexuality which your type takes as HATE. Why? everyone must say that your ways are good and such minds underscores the need for psychiatric care, in my opinion.
Now although I don't recall your man's words I believe that people took them as HATEFUL- HATE for blacks. What was also important is that the sport in question is predominantly played by BLACKS and lots of money is at stakes for owners and so one could say that there was a level of self-interest in actions taken against your man.
What is the ethnicity of your man? I believe that knowing that would be useful especially in a country like yours but not for Jamaica as WE meaning Christians, Judaists, Muslims, whites, Jews, blacks etc are NOT like unto the mentally challenge children of your soil.
You are a genuine idiot.
"Self interest" is also driving the TV network to NOT go forward with a tv show hosted by repugnant flame throwers.(A show and network watched by lots of gays!)
Why can't you see the parallel?
They are both business decisions.
NB: One can see much better if one opens his eyes. Try it.

Do not repeat your words.

At least come up with something newly stupid.

Self-interest is driving both decisions.

Why can you not see this?
