HughBe---surprise me and repost your quote with its link that supports your false claim that members on your list below were called Hebrews.

Observation, no surprise given.

In reading your "You know, Hugh," I am reminded of the opinion of others which basically is that, I know all things. The correctness of such a view can be argued but I can understand where they are coming from. That aside, you are being encourage to stick to this widely accepted rule of thumb.
Against this background and against the background of truth I now declare that I can answer the question in a logical, scriptural and honest way BUT I shall not do so at this time.
In other words, dont worry - the check is in the mail...

Eric---did you ever notice that every time you give the list it gets SHORTER and SHORTER?
HughBe--- My poor Eric, unlike you I NEVER notice what has no existence. Why are you a compulsive liar? The shorter list is below now post your longer list.
Do you understand the conversation?
Can you explain to me why I have omitted ONE name i.e. Israel from the list?
Let me explain it to you. I have omitted Israel because I assumed that even YOU know that they were called Hebrews. So, I gave the remainder of your list except for Israel purely to help the simple i.e. YOU.
I shall not ask you to post your progressively shorter lists. You cannot post what does not exist.
Now post your FULL list.
Give sources that call my progressively "shorter" list, Hebrews.
LIST(my shortened list):
Midian
Zimran
Shuah
Jokshan
Ishbak
Medan
Original posted list http://www.topix.com/forum/religion/judaism/T...

Let's see, why don't we start with the descendants of Ishmael. Ask BMZ, Alex and MUQ about the descendants of Ishmael.

And don't forget about the descendants of Abraham's other sons:
Issac
Midian
Zimran
Shuah
Jokshan
Ishbak
Medan

Remember that Issac had another son other than Jacob. The descendants of Esau are Hebrews also.

My dear Cunti, I know that the discussion is not going over your head, so far. So be more balanced.
Required of Eric :
1. repost something that he claims that was posted already. Is this hard?
2. Give ONE bible text that calls anyone in his list Hebrews, not including Israel.
3. Note, thinking is not required or use of logic etc. all that is required of him is to demonstrate knowledge.
4. Jesus' genealogy is a different matter. Eric literally has hundreds of unanswered questions from me over many years. So there is no need for crippled excuses as he knows that what I say is true. Perhaps he does not know because he is challenged mathematically.
You first.

I don't know whether to laugh at you or feel sorry for you if you actually think you're convincing anyone that you have a logical, honest answer.

Except that he has nothing to show, and he knows it. There are several hundreds of millions of Christians, alive and before his time, and NOT ONE of them have provided a logically acceptable answer to this conundrum.

We have no reason to believe that Hugh is more brilliant than any of these people, past or present.

So really, he has two choices.

One, a negotiated surrender under fair and favorable terms (basically an acknowledgement that his religion is not based on logic, an apology for being a royal paux, and a promise not to berate anyone anymore), or;

Two, to dig himself in to an outlandishly stupid position and continue to look sillier and sillier..

Should we be shocked which choice he gravitated towards?

I'd settle for an admission on his part that he had not thought through his hypothesis completely nor thought to apply it to Jesus as described in the New Testament. Then we can move on. We have all had the opportunity on here to bite our tongue and admit mistakes. Hugh should not be made to do more.

Am I a rabbi? NO= Am I a liar? NO

Am I like you? NO

So the only things that are pathetic are the minds of those who do not believe me.

If it was merely a one issue disagreement, I would be moved to join your settlement idea. But the fact is while all of this is going on, he simultaneously goes on full frontal assault on every other issue. For that, I will grant him no mercy other than the favorable terms I have proposed.

1. No list became SHORTER and SHORTER as you have FALSELY asserted.

2. Ishmael is NOT in the list. Are you telling me that you do not even understand the meaning of the word list? Yes you are.

3. Add Ishmael to the list and cite ONE bible text that calls him a Hebrew.

My son, what was important to me is that you spoke about something that I do not associate with you and that is money. I had no interest beyond that.
