FACT: If you have a prostate regular sex is good for its health.

Do you still have one, Joel?
Once again your perverse views on sex reflect the terrible education that you have received by following false teachers like the patriarchs of the Tanach and Jesus of the NT who were slaves of the sexual impulse and were puppets in the hands of the forces of evil - murder, egoism, fanaticism, disharmony and the like.

Even if a man happens to be married or in a relationship, he should make an attempt to free himself of the downward pulls of the sex urge that're centrifugal and an impediment to the growth of consciousness.

Sex should be used sparingly.

One should not be its slave.

There you have it again "ISRAEL mourns prominent rabbi's death". Not Jews mourn. Not world mourn. Israel mourns. That's his sphere of influence ISRAEL.

Yes, Rav Ovadia Yossef is a nonentity outside Israel and aside from preaching religious bull shit he had nothing constructive to offer to Jewry and his bigotry made him view existence through a hostile and anti-existence parochial lens.

Frankly, most Jews do not even think about Israel and are busy integrating themselves with the global community of forward thinking persons and enriching their knowledge and upgrading their personalities through secular education and/or teachings from far better spiritual traditions than Judaism that is an embarrassment among the intellectual Jews who take great pains to distance themselves from the evils of their ancestral cult as seen in the diabolical teachings of scripture and the misdeeds of the patriarchs.

Most intellectual Jews with universal worldviews consider Abraham, Moses, David and Rav Ovadia Yossef unfit to tie the shoe laces of say a Buddha, an Aurobindo, a J Krishnamurti, a Gandhi, a Ralph Waldo Emerson or even a Dean Ornish. ha ha ha...

This is the ground reality.

Hugh--- call it what makes you happy but I am yet to meet my peer. I shall tell you this, it would take exceptional circumstances for me to even entertain or do the things that I see people readily do and say.

Rule of thumb take me at my word, unless I am joking.

The title says it all. "Israel mourns", not "Worldwide Jews mourn". The man was a nobody outside of Israel.

Note, it is precisely because you did not HEED wisdom and because you have a habit of failing to recognize it when it is presented to you why you are now being afflicted.
I would have been in a worse state had I followed the evil examples of Abraham, Moses and Elijah who I threw out of my life when I was 16 or so.

As for your invitation to me to follow your Jesus, well, I don't want to end up on the cross - the quickest road to the adverse vital planes (what you would call the hells).

The Yoga experiences are still continuing on a spontaneous basis, the attacks from the asura forces are there - every one who opens up in consciousness to the higher forces gets attacked by the adverse vital forces to a smaller or a greater measure.

In fact, the greater the hostile force attacks or the more one is attacked by the hostile vital beings, the greater the spiritual potential in the person. At one stage of the ascent into the higher planes, the attacks fade or if one holds on to the little one gains on the path then too the attacks fade....

RAV OVADIA YOSSEF ON THE JEWS WHO WERE MURDERED IN THE HOLOCAUST:

The controversial rabbi Ovadia Yossef said -

The six million Jews who perished in the Nazi Holocaust died because they were reincarnations of sinners. The rabbi called the Nazis “evil” and the victims “poor people,” but he said the six million “were reincarnations of the souls of sinners, people who transgressed and did all sorts of things which should not be done. They had been reincarnated in order to atone.”

phew!

Bye.

TID BIT:

Israel’s Chief Rabbi Israel Meir Lau, who is also a Holocaust survivor, while responding to Yossef's charge about the Jews who died in the holocaust, said Judaism has a concept of reincarnation and of the righteous dying to atone for sin in a previous life, but he told Israel radio that did not account for the Holocaust.

HughBe---"He(Yosef) is considered by his followers – directly, ultra-Orthodox Sephardic public, and indirectly, the wider religious society – as a master sage, or Maran, and the generation’s GREATEST authority on religious law. Hence, his health is no laughing matter."

My(HughBe's) summary of the quote above---Yosef is considered by his followers and the wider religious society – as a MASTER sage, or Maran, and the generation’s GREATEST authority on religious law. Hence, his health is no laughing matter.

It is of NATIONAL interest as well as interest in the US and elsewhere.

(CNN coverage of his death, BBC and others CONFIRM the above)

Eric---There is a big difference between influence and notoriety.

HughBe--- Correct, Eric. What ALL of you fellows are not getting is the difference between INFLUENCE and CONTROL.

I suppose that in the minds of you and your bedfellows All 3 events below occurred because Yosef had notoriety but not influence.

1."UNPRECEDENTED procession for an INFLUENTIAL figure"

2. " "LARGEST of funerals ever in Israel"

3. " President Shimon Peres to CUT SHORT A WORKING MEETING with his Czech counterpart Milos Zeman and rush to the rabbi's(Yosef's) bedside"

----------

By the way Eric are you linking notoriety to Jewish history?

I ask because you speak in terms of notoriety whereas the President spoke in terms of History.

"I held his hand which was still warm and kissed his forehead. When I pressed his hand I felt I was touching HISTORY and when I kissed his head it was as though I kissed the very greatness of Israel

Rav Ovadia Yossef was the spiritual leader of Shas a Sephardi Religious political party in Israel.
He was a known figure in Israel either for his leadership or sometimes crazy comments.
I grew up Orthodox Ashkenas and he had no influence at all on my community nor 99% of the similar ones inside or outside Israel. I do have Sephardi friends who continuously voted for his party and followed his words closely.
His party voted for the Oslo Accord which led to thousands of Israeli civilian murders.
While he was a well known figure inside Israel, outside the country the majority probably have not heard his name before. Most Jews in the world are not orthodox and most Jews out of Israel have no real connection to the religion.
Not sure what this whole argument here seems to be about but noone can doubt that he is considered one of the greatest Rabbis of our time.
Nutjobs here--Most Jews in the world are not orthodox and most Jews out of Israel have no real connection to the religion.

HughBe--- The important point to note is that "most Jews out of Israel have NO real CONNECTION to the RELIGION." and this is KEY.

The fellows here use percentages to try and mislead. The truth is they are fooling only themselves.

Nutjobs here--Not sure what this whole argument here seems to be about but noone can doubt that he is considered one of the greatest Rabbis of our time.

HughBe--- I find your words CONFLICTING, Nutjobs.

How can you say that "noone can doubt that he is considered ONE of the GREATEST rabbis of our time" when MANY have NEVER heard of him?

If I have NEVER heard of someone I could NEVER be in a position to BELIEVE anything about him or her.

Finally, recall your words that conflict with the above--"outside the country the majority probably have NOT heard his name before"

So how could they consider Yosef a GREAT rabbi?
