Apropos those folks from CT i'm reminded of Elohim from west haven writing that, paraphrased, and i forgot who he quoted:
"People have no hesitation believing that a man in the sky created everything.
But if you tell them the paint is wet, they will touch it." (carlin?)
rabbee: well there is much more evidence for G-D, than there is for wet paint. and obviously i was still wet paint, when G-D came to visit me, as adam for the first time again.

and the fact that i, and this worlds grandmother are here again in TheStory of ThePhysical Creation. can only mean, one thing. and it sure don't mean that any of you, are in charge of ThisSame Story again.

THE NATURE OF THE ULTIMATE REALITY:

On the highest level of Consciousness with its innate Energy component -

there is no God and no Manifestation/Universe,

no You and no I,

no Angel and no Devil,

no Name and no Namelessness,

no Form and no Formlessness,

no Attributes and no Non-Attributes,

no Existence and no Non-Existence,

no Mutability and no Non-Mutability and

no Heaven and no Hell.

There exists only Pure Consciousness with its dormant Pure Energy component in that absolute poise.

Regarding the Sermon on the Mount/The Beatitudes/Golden Rule etc. I can boil it all down to two main points:
1. Play nice
2. Clean up after yourself when you're done
I challenge anyone to find a moral situation for which one of these two don't apply.
You might feel this needs no reinforcing but I think there are plenty of folks out there who could use it on a daily basis.

Perhaps I take a dimmer view of human nature.

"While some of the passages in this sermon have been considered sage advice by readers of varying beliefs, the sermon includes many passages which seem to contradict the claim that the author was wise beyond mortal men. Many people have pointed out that rather than being the ultimate instructions for how to live life, the sermon contains several passages that would typically qualify as bad advice and projects some philosophical positions that are typical of the era and not indicative of a wise, transcendent being. A detailed, verse-by-verse look at the message in this sermon follows below."

I try to guard against allowing "the pefect being the enemy of the good." (Which I had no idea was another idea from my friend Volaire!)

I was a bit sloppy with my words, but followed up with a clarification of intent. To most people, that clarification would of been adequate, but as we all know, Huggy is a little bit special with that regard.
There are many Jewish people who consider EVEN the discussion of Jesus a topic that may lead to cooties. Thats a reflex that has been developed from centuries of persecution, reinforced by experiences with modern day evangelicists.

Grammar indeed. That's apart from the actually real slow thought processing speed.
Maat---Grammar is indeed a real issue.
Enforcing a predicate, not a person...sigh.

HughBe---Let me thank you for your observation, Maat. Now, the advantage that YOU,a person who is NOT a native speaker of English, have over me is that you FAIL to recognize OBVIOUS errors.

Let me illustrate,I wrote " Now that I have explained it, go back and see IN you understand it now".

In my mind there are THREE types of persons who would think that the issue is one of grammar. They are outlined below.

1. A non-native speaker of English, like YOU.
2. A Jackass
3. A combination of the 2.

__________
HughBe---why compare REAL/Jesus with fiction/Homer, wise child?
Maat---Mon, you're EFFIN BRILLIANT!
HughBe--- Thanks Maat, it is a GIFT.
Frijoles---“Irony is wasted on the stupid”
HughBe--- Well said, YOU "effin" FOOL.
Frijoles---Thats not irony. Thats vainly concealed anger.
HughBe--- sonny boy, I DELIBERATELY ignored Maat's calling me EFFIN and focused on the positive i.e. BRILLIANT. This went right over your head. Now that I have explained it, go back and see in you understand it now.
Next, there is no anger and was no anger towards Maat, YOU "effin" FOOL.
By the way did you pick up on the "concealed anger" via your Satan?

There is no evidence he was the son of god.
In that sense, he is a delusion.
Unless you have some evidence of who he was.
Do you?
HughBe---Since your man is UNABLE to apply the definition you do so now and answer this, in what way is Jesus a "DELUSION figure"?

Former---There is no evidence he was the son of god.

In that sense, he is a delusion.

HughBe--- Are you a Judahite? Your post is consistent with their BRAINLESS and DECEPTIVE manner.

The issue was NEVER about the divinity of Jesus. It was about His EXISTENCE.

The existence or non-historicity of Jesus is immaterial - intelligent persons are more concerned with the teachings and philosophy attributed to him. The principle is everything. The personality counts for little.

I believe, that like me, Frijoles believes that a man named Jesus existed, but that we have no evidence he was the son of god.
But no point in your asking me to expalain what Frijoles is saying to you.
You and I are now having our own conversation.
Call it "pillowtalk."
Frijoles' words -- "I never DOUBTED the existence of historical Jesus....I am AGNOSTIC on the matter"

Former--I believe, that like me, Frijoles believes that a man named Jesus existed, but that we have no evidence he was the son of god.

HughBe---Really? I have no doubt that like our "BUDDY" you are heavy into FAITH and not very inclined to INTELLIGENCE. Put away the FAITH/belief and THINK and light will dispel your foolish belief.

Former--You and I are now having our own conversation.
Call it "pillowtalk.

HughBe--- pillow talk occurs when you get together with Frijoles. What WE are having is an exchange between people who care about each other. This is different from the exchanges between Frijjy and yourself such exchanges are between PARTNERS.
