Gomez Fire damage kept to a minimum

It could have been a lot worse, but a little bit of luck, some solid firefighting, and some help from a past thinning project in the Gomez Peak area prevented the Gomez Fire from being as destructive as it could have been.

Looks like scsun-news took a long weekend. Lots of things going on and our "local" news is AWOL. All we get is recycled stories.
