Appearently the cat didn't find Nawojski very tasty, or it wouldn't have buried part of him.

I only carry a knife when hunting, it makes it more of a challenge. Actually, last time I went "hunting" I was only wearing my flipflops and drawers. I had a skunk in my backyard at 1:00 a.m. and had to get rid of him. No time to get dressed.....I think I might start hunting deer that way too.....haha. No need for hunters orange that way.

I think it's kind of ironic that he was most likely standing there naked thinking about some kitty when it happened.

He may be a bowhunter. Legally you are not supposed to carry a firearm during bow seasons in NM. By the way, this is the second lion attack in NM. A young boy was attacked east of Albuquerque last month, and a lion was spotted in Las Cruces as well.

If you read the Las Cruces paper, you'd know that he was autistic and liked to stargaze on the ledge. You people always accuse me of jumping to conclusions and you are no better.

The official game and fish report stated that the man liked to bathe and shave near that ledge. The lion was shot and wounded (ran away) by an officer investigating a missing persons repert on the subject. You can read the press release at the game and fish site.

"Just kidding"???

Would you think your comment was so funny if this was someone you knew and cared about?

I read what the family told the newspaper. He was an autistic man who enjoyed laying on the ledge on watching the stars. Game and Fish don't know him as well as the family, do you think??!!

I thought it was a dog that was attacked in Las Cruces.

Do we have to fight about it? Maybe he liked to shave and bathe there as well as stargaze at night!

A human being died what must have been a horrible death and people are on here making asinine "jokes" and arguing about his habits.

The muslims wack off heads and laugh about it.
But obammma wants to cut and run!!!!
If the guy was autistic, maybe his family should have been watching him closer. NOT a good idea to sit around naked in Pinos Altos, for those of you that don't know, ITS right in the HEART of PRIME Lion country!!!
