J.R.'s Grandkids Graduate!

Three special Sumter County girls are now kindergarten graduates. Mckenzie Berry, Taylor Ragin, and Madison Ragin are celebrating their new places in the world after their recent graduation ceremonies.

Great but is his grand kids any different than anyone else's? Why is this newsworthy?
Why is Darci pregnant newsworthy? Too much personal info is posted on WLTX to fill space when the public doesn't need to know these things.

Obviously, you are not a fan of Mr. Berry or Darci. I am pleased and a great fan of both of these individuals. It was nice to see this in the news as opposed to the other negative news we are always reading about. It brought a smile to my face. Mr. Berrys grand daughters are pretty and obviously he is very proud and wanted to share his news with us, the public readers. And Miss Darci's children are just as beaufiful. Thanks for sharing with all of us, your special children. PS I watch WLTX all the time, the news staff is very professional.

It is refreshing to follow good news...Darci's babies, J.R.'s granddaughters.

I have grandchildren graduating this year. Two grandsons are graduating from high school, one from K-5. This not newsworthy...I'm not a TV anchorperson. It is special to me, however.

I agree. I think it unfair to the rest of the kids everywhere whose parents and grandparents would love to see them highlighted like this.

Yes, he has cute grandchildren, and yes it is better news than the mostly sad and ugly news we get, but still it is not fair to the rest of the public's children who also graduated. If they had won an award or something then there would have been a reason. Just because they are JR's grandkids is not enough reason to exclude the rest.

Reporters are not the news, they should be reporting it only.

The only reason I saw this is because I was looking for news on Darci...Come on people if this bothers you don't read it...How about taking your anger and write about gas prices ,then let's see what you can stir up ,Leave the innocent children alone ,it is nice to see something family oriented for a change.

I TOTALLY agree with you on this one Jukebox!!! Who the hell cares, and it's not right to exclude the other children or put these young ones above the rest just because of who they are related to! Isn't that special.

I am happy JR and Darci have wonderful loving families; however, refering to these children as graduates is rediculous. You have not actually graduated until you complete the 12th grade successfully. Another example of how sappy our society has become at building up children to make them feel good.

I have neighbors who have grandchildren graduating and they should also be in the news. If you're going to treat one person special everyone needs to be treated special. Although, I'm still trying to figure out why this would be news.
