I am in town to see some friends and that air raid siren thing went off, within seconds all these guys came form every direction and in another instant they were gone. Where I come from the F.D. is a professional department but they dont move like that. Are these guys any good once they get to where ever they are going?

Very Very dedicated men. I think this town should at least give them their water bill paid for serving on the fire dept. I know it is volunteer work but thats the least they could do.

hey sam, that guy is an excellent EMT. I bet it if it was your hind end trapped in a car you would be crying they don't get there fast enough. Why don,t you give up your time if you think you can do any better.

I heard on the scanner that The Welch fire Department called Pineville over there to help fight the big apartment building fire. Must have been a very large fire to call a fire department from out of the county to help them. Not only do they help us but they go help other towns too.

I have since moved away from Pineville, but wanted to comment about the Pineville Fire Department. These guys are just amazing to me. They give soooo many hours to help others in the community and they are dedicated. I agree that the town should give these guys some gift of appreciation. It doesn't matter what hour of the night, these members of the PFD will wake to help others. I know for a fact that some emergencies they get called on could last for many hours during the night. These men still have jobs that they go to the next day, and never do you hear one complaint. Cut these guys a break, and please remember there is always more to the story...Sims is a cool guy!
