As I was reading from there web site at the link below...
http://www.cliffsnaturalresources.com/EN/Page...

Below is just a part of there info under Sustainability/Community Relations/North America

" Access to Natural Areas
As a good corporate citizen, Cliffs provides public access to some natural areas that are not being utilized for operations and that may be beneficial to our communities. As we enter into new locations, we acknowledge the importance of our habitat preservation efforts by producing public access to these lands when possible. By caring for natural areas, we are able to provide community members with lands for no- or low-cost utility easements, recreational leases, roadways and residential sites. Within each operating site, we carefully consider areas from which the public may benefit. "

And if people want the gates down so bad stop them from pumping the chemical water out into the streams and the gates will come down also they have no other way to dispose of this water it's very harmful!!!

Why don't you call over to Cliffs and talk to the environmental dept(yes they have one) and ask them a couple of questions? They'll probably take you around and show you the ponds and show the steps they take to treat the water....don't spout off about things until you know for sure. This county is so screwed up.People get murdered and overdosing on drugs, kids being abused and neglected and this is what you want to bring to peoples attention.Human life means nothing anymore.

The product is soluble in waste water.
Dangerous for the functioning of sewage processing plants.
Hazardous for water.
Do not allow product to reach ground water, water bodies or sewage system.
Danger to drinking water if even small quantities leak into the soil.
The diluted product may be split by chemical methods or by reverse osmoses. Alternatively may be removed by an approved waste contractor. Do not allow to contaminate ponds, water courses or drains.
Not biodegradable solcenic oil msds

It also says not to let it reach ground water and no Ponds where is this water pumped and you don't know anything about cleaning it you just read that it can be clean but you don't understand how believe me it would cost alot more than they would pay cheaper to pay off people !! I bet at the pond at 8A fan where it runs in the creek is not even a little chance that it's safe !!! Anyone who will research Solcenic oil can see for their self and that's just one of 10 or more different oils they use and it all leaks out its hauled in by the hundreds of gallons but not hauled out you take one chemical and mix it with other chemicals and who knows the dangers of the new chemical you just made !!!!

You have a dreadful time staying on topic. This is about polluted water which many feel strongly about. You seem inclined to focus on murders and overdosing...They have a magazine called True Crime, and topics on drug rehab facilities. Perhaps you need to go over to another forum, as this one is about Cliff and water pollution....Hmmm maybe you are an employee. Just sayin.

If you people are so concerned about polluted water, check yr sewer ststem's (if you have on that is) most of the drain lines around here go in the nearest creek or the river, and even if a septic tank is on the property the drain lines dont provide sufficent drainage. Your laundry detergent etc. pollutes as much as or more than the coal mines. Plus fact is most of the population in this area's drinkin water comes from an abandoned coal mine. TRUTH IS all this is about atv riding and road hunting. The open access of others property was a privilegde we "HAD" it was never a right.

Whoa! Where do you live putting sewage in the creek? You have very little knowledge of what you are talking about. The road has been here since the 1800s as has been paid for and maintained by the taxpayer
http://www.wyomingcountyheritage.com/history/...
Also, a driver's license is the privilege not the roads maintained by our taxes. What abandoned coal mine? Are you on crack? The water comes from the creator, and so what does an abandoned coal mine have to do with anything. Please do your research and spell privilege correctly. Again, if anyone sees a violation please fill out the form on this link.

If you know so much on water pollution then maybe you can tell us all the hazards of mixing all different types of mining oils together, and then explain how this is cleaned and drained???? And if it's cleaned like everyone says tell me why they suck it out of the ponds and haul to other places and pump it in the ground??? And in my opinion I don't think the EPA will do anything about it because something should have already been do. When you have the money you can do anything!!!
