Obviously todays society is turning into a group of closed minded old rednecks who still think that their kids should wear over-alls and sport a mullet.

Get over yourself, you're no better than we are.

I'm in my early 20's and I think its rather disguisting myself...all these girls with the "monroe piercing" thats nasty it doesnt look like a mole girls and its rather odd. The holes in the ears, what the crap, when did you become a native of the Amazon? Tattoo's don;t bother me as much but some people go overboard with it. I like seeing skin thats untouched, to me that shows the beauty of someone. Eyebrow, lip, nose rings, are soo gross looking, I don't know who ever said it looked good, and if they are trying to be different then how come there is so many that is the same?

My daughter has her nose pierced she wears a small diamond stud no tatoos if thats the worse she ever does I have no worries.I'm her Mother and we had our nose pierced on the same day . I signed for her to have it done the small nose piercing is all she has and thats all she will have untill she gets out of my house. I think its cute, Iagree about some of the larger tatoo but not the piercings like the nose the belly button.Let them live , have fun we would have did it to if our parents would have allowed it. You see alot of older women with their nose pierced its cute.

i agree with CoughSyrup. piercings do not look good no matter if it is a small stud in your nose. it just looks awful! these piercings and "gauges" my daughter calls them are disgusting! and i just dont see how parents can let their kids do that to themselves.

Tattoos are a personal statement.There is nothing wrong with making Your statement.You can tell a lot about someone from their tattoo choices.I myself have tattoos.No piercings though.(Just not my style)But to each his or her own,I guess.Don't worry young kids out grow the hole poking stage.It will go away after a while.CHOOSE WISELY a tattoo though it will be there forever.Do you want mickey mouse for the rest of your life!

My daughter has her ears pierced twice, her cartilage,and her belly button . I think it is cute. She wanted the monroe piercing but I would not let her do that. I did tell her if she got the nose that I did not want her to have anything bigger than the small diamond stud. I think that it should be their own decision on some things but I am against tattoos until they are older. The piercing will grow up. I just think they should be more mature before they get something perminate. As for being too old. Age is only a number. You should do what makes you happy. Forget about what everyone else thinks.

If the parents don't like it, the kids like it even more.

That's just the way it is.

Tattoos are a fad... there will come a time when they are not cool. Like disco music! haha

I would much rather my daughter show her self expression in piercings, than many other ways that she could. She could decide that she wants tattoos all over (piercings can grow up, tattoos are expensive to have removed), she could decide to show some self expression in drugs and alcohol, she could be showing us herself by being boy crazy and sexually active.
She does has several piercings, which both her father and I approved of and I took her and signed for them.
Her monroe is not disgusting looking, its just a tiny diamond fleck and its cute.

First off I dont know who M.D. is. Nor do I care. This is my opinion and a lot of people have the same opinions. I think if you are old enough to be a parent then you are too old to have your nose pierced. Piercings and tattoos says nothing of who you are only your actions and your words. The monroe piercing is about as sick as the eyebrow piercing. Tasteless. Belly buttons are ok, but if your child is chubby, do her a fav. and not embarrass herself with something that draws attention to their fat rolls. Age is but a number. But act your age. Suppose to be mature, rational adults. Almost like the woman I see in Wal-Mart look like she was 35 and was wearing her daughters, 12, shirt. Get real. Thats gross. I don't care if today was 2045 its tasteless. Like I said a piercing nor a tattoo says anything to me except you want to be noticed and you want to be different, but you are not different. Wake up call. Be different, wear a funky shirt, or a funny hat. Quit being so dang weird and childish, thats to the old people out here trying to be in their kids clique. You embarrass me.Remember its my opinion.:}

Oh if this is who you are calling me..I have no freaking idea who it is or what it is. But don't call peoples names out especially if they are not the one voiceing their opinion. I am and thats not my name. And don't cast stones while in your glass house. I don't judge you for looking like an idiot. I think its dumb but I'm not saying you are dumb, just your action you wish to do.

Obviously these young people are not trying to appeal to YOUR sensibilities. Perhaps they think a mullet and a NASCAR t-shirt are just as tasteless.

The huge gauges in the ears will not grow up. I have seen kids with holes in their ears as big as a quarter. Imagine what this will look like when they're 50 years old. Their ears will sag down to their shoulders.
