I'm just curious as to where you get your information Pam, because you really have no idea about how the prison is run. The one's that are put at the USP are put there because they are THE WORST OF THE WORST, otherwise they would be put at the FCI. Talk to any employee at the facility and also educate yourself about the kinds of prisoners that are placed in maximum security facilities. You can read that on the BOP website. Also, they may be grown men, but apparently their actions have proven that they act no better than children, probably because they weren't properly disciplined when they actually were children, so they are getting the disciplinning now. If you think you can do so much better at the job why don't you apply for it? Oh wait, you've served time; they would never hire you.
The worst of the worst are not at pollock.if embezzlement is the worst thing you can do, selling drugs etc. they are a mixed population it depends on your points to what your status is so leave Pam alone and get your facts straight. Have you been to prison, wait you may work for one considering your ignorance.

If a white collar criminal with no previous convictions who is non violent is the worst of the worst, then you're right. The main population at USP is there for dealing drugs. My son was put there because he was given many years behind bars. He is totally non violent.

My Son is in Pollock USP, has been locked up (non violent too , for drugs) since hes been 19, he has been since last Jan , They have him now in SHU & moved him to FCI>
They (staff) are trying to get him to admit to something that isnt true,* to get another in trouble) They have threatened to put a death threat on him, & to Move him around , Dis, thearpy. If he doesnt talk.. Prob, to get the inmates after him. Either way I have received one letter & I don't know why they would move him from USP to FCI & they got him in "Restrictive Housing" thats like in paper clothes, What the Hell is going on w that place, & Who can I contact for help, NoOne there will talk to me, Thanks, WORRIED MOM

My fiance is in pollock max. He was convicted of drug charges. Has never been violent let alone been charged with a violent crime. No one can give me a reason why he is in maximum security prison. There is no one to contact. No way to insure he is ok. No one to insure he is getting due process. Fed prisons are financially profitable to the politicians running them. How can we come together and stop the insanity? The prison officials have become just as guilty as the inmates. How do we decern.

couldn't contact anyone either, you have to go there and be at their mercy (yeah right). plus they could be on lock down without any notice..yes they are financially profitable, programs that they get monies for programs that never happen, or are available for a month or so, so they get the grant, and then are shut down. if u come across a way to "stop the insanity" let me know - and all those others in this state of limbo. we all ( well a lot of us) are wondering what the heck is going on. you'll notice that you are also treated as though you are guilty for being a part of that person's life. as far as getting closer to home, i've seen that's a joke. the whole, "keeping the prisoner in touch with friends and family" has not happened in my case, and it's been a lot of years. Some rehabilitation effort huh! they come out learning more than they ever knew - just to keep their selves safe and above water. But, all I can suggest is hope for the best, and don't be surprised at the worst. it will pass and somewhere there must be a place with some humanity/compassion and will actually work towards assisting in working towards treating/releasing your loved one in a manner that helps them come out to be a productive member of society. Hell, they just brought back a soldier that had deserted and lived with the terrorists....and give him better treatment. what about those he put at risk...The world is gone crazy....

Your full of crap . The BOP had 12 murders thats right 12 year. Its right on there web site. So get a life and don't ever compare what your beloved convict has seen compared to a soldier in Iraq.
the war in prison is far greater than the war in Iraq, you are mislead, the people in the system have rights as well and as you depict that some people or all people in prison is bad and that is not the case, you couldn't walk a day in a place such as this, nor a day in Iraq, well maybe Iraq because your a cook, for prisoners the war never stops and it goes on and on. It never ends and it will never end so do tell me these people are not of the warrior breed, just different circumstances is the only difference and they don't have guns, just fists and shanks...

DITTO. Can't feel sorry for people who circumvent the law. Just deserts!!!!
I am sure you have committed a crime you just never got caught. That is why you are not in prison...because of gods grace..not because you have never sinned..For those that are serving time in prison, there is laws that Prison officials need to follow as well .Guidelines and class..an inmate is a person regardless and deserves to be treated righteously...and protected by the law..If those in authority break the law then they are worst than an inmate..because they are the law and bresk

Wardens can't control the prisons cause people whine and piss and moan about violations of their rights, and kiddie gloves get slapped on the staff to handle these savages.

If you're in a USP you have critically failed in judgement at some point. While there are some on the inside that have reformed and are turned around for the better at least 98% are still scumbags gangbangers and savages.

If you were to believe everyone with someone on the inside prison is filled with the church choir. Which bears the question of why it's such a hell hole inside if none of them "didn't do nuttin" and "are decent guys!"

I've worked inside these places. I see the people who are in there. 99 percent of them need to be there, and honestly a large number who end up on the streets again should die of old age inside instead.
