My children are patients of Dr. Dholakia and I have just found out that she is leaving. We were patients of Dr Bala and she left. Once again I find my self searching for a new pediatrician. Who should I try now?

I take my five year old to Dr. Ghanim. I have for a couple years now. When we first met him, my son was in the hospital. When I asked him to take my son on as a patient, he gave me his office number, pager number, AND home number. I've NEVER had a bad experience there. And his wife is a sweetheart. Good luck, I know how it is when your children are involved.

Are you sure, When is she leaving? My little girl goes to her, she was my doctor from the time I was 5 to 18 and I'm 27 now. I love her. Please let me know when she plans on leaving so I can make arrangements to find another doctor also

The same thing also happened to me. What about the new pediatrics doctor at PCH Dr. Rachel Getachen?

Dr. Dholakia is leaving I believe Dec. 18. I called the office the other day and they said to find a ped. and they will transfer our records. To my understading, if you do not sign a release for the records before the office closes, the records will be sent to the hospital.

I take my kids to Corbin Pediatrics. I know its a little farther to drive but they are so good. And if your child has to be admited to a hospital then they will be a Corbin, which is a great hospital.

Dr dhloakia was agreat Dr. I left there
office for athe reason that the over
weight lasy at the desk is a hateful bag.
I have to pay a co-payment and every time
I called to get in she said rude crap all
the time. I just got tired and my kids was 2&4
so I called Dr. Khorum bhind the middlesboro
arh hospital. They are wonderful there always
will work you in. Most foreign drs stay for a certain period of time and leave. My advice
ask them if they are long term or short term.
Good luck good peds are hard to find in this area.. Dr bala was so jealous her hubby was
going to speak to another nice looking lady
she couldn't do her job she was a joke..

Is the Michelle Davis the one that worked at Dr. Ghanim's office for awhile? I take my kiddos to him and there was a lady that worked for him and she was really nice. I like her better than the Doc!! But she isn't there anymore. Anywho...can you give me some more information on this place. I have been wanting to find another Pediatrician. I really liked that Michelle chick! If you know if that's her or not then please let me know?? Apex is where Williamson was right? Tell me more bout the people!! Maybe I will take my kiddos there!

Thanks, I really liked her! I have been wanting to get a new Doc. I heard Lovie was good...but I dread switching. I tried a diff Doc last year. They wouldn't give my baby any medicine cause she was under two. She ran a fever over 103 for 4 days and it went up to 104.9 one night, I had just took her to the Dr that day and she told me it was just a virus. My baby was in th ER on her 1st Bday rotating Tylenol and Motrin every HOUR! It was horrible...they never could figure out what was wrong with her...said it was just a virus. We had to sit up 4 nights in a row putting wet rags on my baby and giving her Tylenol and Motrin every 1 to 2 hours. I was so afraid all the medication was going to hurt her. Even if it was just a virus...I think 103 fever for 4 days and a fever that is almost 105 is too much for a baby. I am just thankful that she didn't have any seizures!(My brother in law and our neighbor's little girl had seizures from a high fever-it's scary)) I know Ghanim gives the same medicine over and over but at least he gives SOME! I like Michelle and hopefully the new Ped you say is coming is good too! Let us know!

I had a hard time finding Michelle. I called Dr. Ghanim's office and they would not tell me where whe was. She is at Trinity Family Health Care in Middlesboro. She and Trampas Nolan work together. I like them both. Also a new pediatrician is coming in January (that is what someone at the hospital said).

He is good for simple stuff like colds and ear infections. But I don't advice anyone without some medical background(or knowledge), to take their children to him. He waits too long to refer a patient to a specialist. He is polite but if I ever thought something really bad was wrong with my children I'd go to Children's(or somewhere else). I brought my First child to him when she was 1. She had horrible allergies. He tried the same medications over and over and never helped her. Finally I took her to a Allergy Doc in Kport (Status Allergy Clinic-wonderful) they do the blood test instead of the Scratch test. They tested her on 20 dif things, she was allergic to 18 of them! Corn, Peanuts, Milk, Eggs and a bunch of other stuff. The allergy Doc told me to not give her this stuff...when she ate this stuff it gave her horrible eczema! It was like she had poison ivy all over her body. When I went back for a check up and gave Dr. G the test results he acted like he was so insulted and told me to feed her all that stuff and did not want ME to listen to the specialist. I listened to the Specialist and her allergies got better. And when she turned 3 they almost disappeared. She only gets little itchy spots in the bends of her elbows around this time of year...because of the cold, dry weather and too much Candy(corn syrup)! I have been taking my kids to him for 4 yrs. It hasn't taken me that long to realize I should find a better Doc, I just haven't found the right one yet! I think I will try Trinity!

Corbin Peds. It's worth the drive. I'm a nurse and I have had no complaints about the wait, the staff, diagnoses, treatment, or follow up. And BRMC is the ONLY place around here I'd take my two year old (unless it was a life-threatening emergency and even then I'd try to get her there). Oh, and I worked at PCH. Hands down, Corbin Peds and BRMC

I went there and they took me out back and beat me up. But I kinda liked it and I have gone back several times. Every time I need a whooping I go back. So Corbin meds is the place to go if you need a whooping. I hear the other services they offer is not too professional. You might die while you are are there if you are sick. But let say again the whoopings are the best in town.
