They send these papers home telling how the pageant is judged on beauty and poise & showmanhip
and stage and appearance. But they allow a child to bring a stuffed animal out and that should have been not allowed but instead she not only makes it to the top 10 but wins the pageant, I have nothing against the child. It's the rules that they would like us to go by. I feel if they allow that then why have rules. Some children did not even do a coursy and nothing was taken off for that either they continued to the next round.
If the pageant was judge the right way the the child in the black dress number 13 should have won because she done everything right kept her hands down didn't move around like other childen. This is nothing to do with the children It's Pineville athletic boosters need to be more strict with there rules. My child is not number 13 My child did not make it to the top 10.

I thought all the girls looked beautiful. I thought the girl that won did a great job and I loved her smile and actions, she was so cute. Parents should go into pagents realizing that its the judges OPINION on who wins and everyones opinions are different. If ten different groups of judges were to judge those girls you would probably have a different winner each time.

Thank goodness I have only boys. And no Im not related to anyone that was in the pagent.

Look, I did not go to either nights competitions, but lets face it, it is the same story every year. There is one girl that is picked by the crowd and then the winner is picked by the judges. Let the kids get out there and have fun. It is the parents who make it a joke every year. They turn it into a warzone with all the bickering and fighting. If you don't like it, don't go. If you don't want your kids in it, don't put them in it. There can only be one winner, and for those who can not accept not winning don't enter a competition. The parents need to stay out of it and let the kids have fun.

You're kidding right? Everyone has their own opinions and I am going to try my best to respect the fact of that and not say too much other than the child you are referring to, didn't deserve to be in the top 10. I know this child's family and I think she's a cute kid. However, did you not see her expression when she nearly tripped over her dress and the way she looked at her mother that was in the stands? That alone spoke volumes in unheard words! There was nothing pretty about that. My picks were very much different than the results, but the fact of the matter remains, my picks were only my opinion. Just like every judge has a different opinion. And you, yourself, yet another opinion. You could line the same girls up again today, have 4 or 5 different judges, and the children that didn't make it to the top 10, could possibly win through the eyes of a different panel. It's just the way it goes!!

my little girl was in this pageant and they all did a great job, but i just dont understand what they was really judgeing on? if they was judgeing on cuteness they would have put the older girl that was 6 in little miss and not tiny because they really didnt have a chance aganist 3 and 4 yrs old was really fair, my little girl done so good everything she was suppost to and i cant believe the other girls that done a really good job didnt make it to top ten its like they picked all the smaller girl because they were cuter or something. oh well i guess my girl have fun and thats all that matter..........

Gees...It's not Miss America and it's not even a pageant that goes on to something else. I think the judges did an okay job and all the girls looked great. Let them have fun and give them praise. Don't beat down other kids. Parents need to get over themselves. Realize all parents think their child is the best. If this and other events could take out the parents, the kids would have so much fun and not worry about anything else.Quit living through your kids!

excuse me, the little girl that won little miss is not a long or a woolum nor is her family in the pineville click and NO she is not a relative. all of these children were beautiful,I DID HAVE A FAMILY MEMBER IN THE LITTLE MISS THAT WAS SO EXCITED TO DRESS UP . the bottom line is you put your child in the pageant, no matter how many are in it there is going to be one winner. my daughter was in the miss pageant several years ago and got first runner up, when we got her scores she had 23-25 which was as high of a score she could get. one judge gave her 25 for beauty, stage permormance and all the other categories across the board, the second, third and fourth judge gave her no lower than 23 for all the categories, one judge gave her 16 for beauty which 15 is as low as you can get, she also gave her 15-16 in the other categories. so how can 4 judges see a young woman the same way and one judge see nothing that appealed to her? that is just how it goes. the girl that won was a pretty girl. my daughter was ecstatic because she had got 1st runner up. the older young women hopefully understand and i know most don't but the smaller children need to be taught it is a day of makeup, pretty dress and to have fun. fAITH LONG DID NOT WIN, WHEN WAS THE LAST WOOLUM IN IT? NO, I AM NOT A WOOLUM OR A LONG NOR AM I RELATED TO EITHER SIDE OF THE FAMILY.

Well still not sure how judges got their scores i was in junior miss i did make top 15. Most of the girls behind the scenes were picking Erika Collet to win and to many many of us amazement she didnt make top 7 so go figure. She was by far in a lot of us opinion the girl to beat
