If people in the community subscribe to the fire protection service, they'll have it.

Most people know the fire department is a corporation - not an individual. Been that way for over 30 years.

If you don't want fire protection, don't subscribe. But then - you don't live in Callaway do you? Where did you get that "hard earned money" - running errands for Brock?

Fiscal court no longer has any agreement with the fire department. Brock already breeched the agreement that was in place since the department was started. The funding is now through the Subscription System.

If fiscal court is still charging you for fire protection, need to take that up with them.

Not very specific. What did they destroy? Looked like facilities and equipment were up to date and financial condition was sound until Brock tried to take over. Brock has broken the law on several occasions - all documented - and has made numerous charges against the department that he's never been able to substantiate.

So before we allow anyone to come back, give us good reason to consider that. It ain't up to Brock no matter what he's promising. You might have noticed Brock doesn't seem to like it so much when people stand up to him.

You mean unneccessary spending on behalf of the BCVFD or them thinking they are the end all be all of the county? How about trying to make the tax payers foot the bill for their pocketing money? How about them actually giving a damn about other people's lives? facts? Ok, how about the home they never arrived at and it burned to the ground on laurel hill? What about a recent story in the Pineville sun about Rodney not being able to talk because he was on a company phone? They need to answer to the taxpayers they serve, yes serve. PERIOD!

- What about that Brock unnecessary spending for a "Deputy JE"? Now, what unnecessary spending are you talking about?

- I wouldn't bring up self-worth estimates when the conversation includes Brock.

- What money was pocketed? You are aware they passed an audit? You have anything that would hold up in court? Or is this speculation?

- I don't have any idea who they give a damn about. You probably don't either. So long as they do their job, why should I care?

- Whose house was it? I'll let them answer for themselves.

- I don't read the Pineville Sun. Too far behind recent events. What point was that story supposed to make?

Sure, they need to answer. What would you like answered? I have some questions I'd like Brock to answer. That sound fair to you? The voters didn't elect a dictator - he's a public servant. Which means he doesn't dictate the terms for doing his job, either.

Taking everything you said as gospel, I don't come up with "destroy department". Some things you might not like, some I might not like. The biggest damage I see to the department are these endless Brock lawsuits. All that is at taxpayer's expense on both sides. Its more like a personal power stuggle than any "standing up for the people". With over $300,000 cash just in the fire fund, Brock doesn't seem in much of a hurry to put our money where his mouth is and open some fire stations. Remember, this is the guy who told all of us that would be no trouble at all to do.

What's your take on that?

They have run off all the good and decent people that made the fire dept. If you don't agree with Rodney he will either run you out or kick you off the dept. Those are facts too! Now they got them a hunting club whats the deal with a hunting club having a pumper? Just another way for them to destroy the dept more. Only life them guys care about is their own.
I've worked with people like that. Some I managed to work around, some I didn't. I understand Brock has some similar traits, too. I've heard him referred to as "heavy-handed". In fact, I probably did the referring. Some people like things run that way, some don't. But ask some of he magistrates privately what happens if you don't agree with Brock. If we're going to throw stones, let's sling'em both ways.

Based on the story, this old truck was pretty much junk. You disagree with that? The law says they either sell it or donate it to another nonprofit. Not much money involved either way. How could one old truck destroy the department? And for comparison, another fire department I know of built a ball field. Why does a fire department need a ball field, you ask? They did it as a community service and a way to raise a few dollars for their department. All legal, by the way. That hunting club will fit the same description - which I believe was built with donated funds. But if you know different, bring it out.

You don't even own any property to protect, do you? Easy to talk brave. What happens now is if a local judge fails to recuse himself due to a conflict of interest and tries to overturn state and federal law - which is exactly what Albey is asking - it really hits the fan. And then there's that class-action against fiscal court for failing to fund fire protection after taxing people for it. Other than that, just another day at the court house.

That's right. All Albey wants is control, and the Bell Co. volunteer fire dept is not under his control at all. I'd like to hear him say a sentence that doesnt have the word entity in it. He can't even express himself clearly.

Yes I do own property, and yes everybody worries about their home burning to the groung but for you jackass's to get on here and try to play the victim is funny you are the biggest joke in bell county and with the recent coverage all over the state. Your fee didn't work to good did it close all the stations then we can start over and have a real fire department you people act like your above the law and or the people answer me this even when all of the stations were open how many homes have been saved and are now being lived in actual numbers and not I think or this guy says this the only time we really see you is a parade or at the bridge begging for money or maybe at a car wreck so you can try and get money from someone's insurance I love seeing you idiots beg it makes my day

Take your complaints to the fire department.

But since you're so concerned, what are the numbers for all the other fire departments around the state? Any of them guarantee your home won't burn? Didn't Pineville let a building burn NEXT DOOR to their fire station? Does the rescue squad guarantee to save your life - or just come get the body later?

Where exactly did you expect to see the fire department? You want them joyriding up and down the road? You sure got some crazy arguments.

If Albey wanted to start over why hasn't he started over? He already took our money. That wasn't the fire department. He really wants to TAKE OVER and got his feelings hurt when the court said he couldn't. So now he does everything he can to hurt the department regardless of how much it hurts the public. If you or anyone else doesn't want fire service, don't pay for it. Just don't expect it for free. Brock won't give you that, either.

Sorry mayhem, you are incorrect... may want to research want you are claiming BEOFRE you make a post. Stop listening to BCVFD propaganda and look for the facts. Not the facts as they believe them to be. Were talking about the actual facts.
