"Classroom sizes in the town's six elementary schools currently range from the low to high 20s. Serio said the new Parker School is critical to decreasing those numbers. "

Is there "extra" money in the school department budget to hire more teachers to enable you to decrease the amount of children per classroom?

Seems like all the towns/cities are building similar size schools. So what is the big issue with going with a 500 student school? sounds like good planning.

It seems many of the surrounding towns are looking to build new schools. Glad to see the state giving money for this. Wish the Feds would also contribute.

Because other towns are digging themselves into a hole to do it, Billerica should also? I say go back to the drawing board, scale it down so we won't need an exemption. Living beyond ones means is what got this country into trouble, lets not keep doing it.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Aquarius

Keep calm and all will be well. You're feeling slightly fraught because there are so many demands on your time, and it won't help if you're trying to juggle some last-minute chores with some fun-filled social events. Get others to lend you a hand, or tell yourself that perfection is not an option right now and that you'll have to scale down your preparations accordingly.
