This story is extremely interesting. 3M pulled this chemical from the market on it's own in the 1980s and denied that they were hazardous to humans. It has been shown that these materials were routinely dumped on the ground in the 1970s, especially in the Lake Elmo Baytown area. Subsequent superfund investigations were aborted by the MPCA whose chief a the time was a former 3M executive (appointed by Arne Carlson). Less than 10 yrs ago, state health department employees' toxicological evaluations of these materials were modified by MDH executives (also Republican as it turns out)- this was the same Commissioner who resigned shortly after the scandal related to asbestos mesothelioma deaths a few years back. They simply changed the numbers to make it appear that they were 5-10x less toxic without any rationale. Now we begin to see these materials show up in humans (which are in themselves not known to be that toxic but they have not been extensively researched and have shown up in penguins at the north pole).

Stay tuned folks!

Disgusted - not old news. The measurement of these materials in the bodies of the public has not been done before. Please enlighten us with these "old" studies (and if you don't mind, please find a way to blame this on government and/or O'Bama's medicine). Thanks.

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Aries

Financial muddles are more than likely today so be careful if you're going shopping. You might be accidentally short-changed or there could be a misunderstanding about how much something costs. This isn't a good day to lend friends anything valuable in case they don't return it or they damage it in some way. Better safe than sorry.
