It's great that the DNR is putting in a detour so the Gateway trail can still be used during the construction. The bad part is that the detour is gravel, which effectively shuts down that section of the trail for in-line skating for the next 2 years. There are a lot of us who skate on this trail frequently, but it appears we are being forgotten. The DNR should pave the detour so that all types of users can still enjoy the trail.
