The fifth and final defendant in the double homicide case of a Waverly Hall couple has pleaded guilty.

Joshua Douglas Pounds, 22, pleaded guilty to burglary and was sentenced by Harris County Superior Court Judge Frank Jordan Jr. to four years in prison, followed by six on probation. A charge of concealing the death of another against Pounds was dropped at his Friday hearing, said Chief Assistant District Attorney Alonza Whitaker.

“He returned with two of the juveniles that had been involved, took some property,” Whitaker said of Pounds’ role in the June 28 murders of Jerry Church, 61, and Sherlene Robinson, 57.

Pounds had told investigators that Richard J. Strickland, 17, and Gage Q. Bryant, 14, had approached him about opening lockboxes before the bodies were discovered. They took him to Church’s house, but when he saw the bodies in the living room, he left, an investigator has said.

Dereck Cox, 19, Kevin Thomas McKay, 22, Strickland and Bryant pleaded guilty to various crimes Feb. 6. Cox and McKay got life plus decades for pleas to murder, robbery, burglary and theft by taking. Strickland and Bryant each got 20 years plus probation for robbery and burglary.

Have I missed something here. I was in the courthouse and heard with my own ears these people all admit that they sat in the Church's outbuilding and plotted the murder. Propped open the storm door and knocked and attacked them when they opened the door.Jerry was stabbed 30 times and Charlene sofficated.Thene they stood on jerry because his heart was still beating. This last one went in stepped over bodies and carried out the safe.D.A. Told the family she couldn’t win... with 5 confessions lol! Go back to law school sweetie!

Brittany Bryant, you are NOT Gage's wife, you are a little (fat) jailbird yourself, who cannot get or keep a man because you are CRAY CRAY yourself! Yet you are on FB daily raving about your wonderful man! Surely you can do better than a murderer!?!?! Get out & get a job & stop waiting on a kid in prison. Get off your lazy butt. BTW, I know you are not in FL, you are in Adairsville, GA! What must your family think of you now? So sorry for this poor couple who were murdered by a bunch of delinquents!

Oh BTW, Brittany Pierce (yes, that is your name) I doubt you will be with your loving jailbird anytime soon:

"Seventeen-year-old Richard Strickland and thirteen-year-old Gage Bryant have been sentenced to twenty years in prison. They must also serve twenty and fifteen years on probation on charges of robbery by force.

Officials say as it stands now, the general rule for anyone serving a life sentence is that they spend twenty six years in jail before becoming eligible for parole.

And for the juveniles serving twenty years in prison, they will need to serve ninety percent of their sentence before they are eligible for parole."

Oh dear, let me advise you, that your loving sweetie will serve his maximum sentence by law. I can promise you they will not give him parole, because Joshua Pounds didn't receive his either and he wasnt even involved in the murder, he just cracked open safes and walked over my uncle and aunts dead body..... so what do you think a parole board will say to him... especially after the impact statement papers that get read out that was wrote by the family.... trust me we write them, thats why dear mr.pounds served his full term..... there is a special place for people like them and they will meet their maker........

Well this might not be none of my business but I think that Josh pounds needed to be in jail a lot longer than what he got just because he stepped over these people a couple of times and didn't do shit but steal money and lie to his baby mama and tried to run away wit b out saying bye to his so called love and his own child real good.
