It's not developed, but it is beautiful land. It is southern most part of the Appalachian Mountains.

We lived in Kings Gap Village for 13 years. It was a great place when it was first developed, but became run down and neglected. It was developed by 2 men I believe. The water there became contaminated, but has since been taken over by the county. It is a beautiful area and was a wonderful place to live from 1982-1990. Don't know much about it now. The last time I rode in there, the roads were just about not there. I hope this answers your question.

How many homes are there and what prices? we are looking at a house there. When you say the roads are just about not there do you mean they are gravel?

There are 2 different areas there, one is on the lake, the other across the road. We lived in the one without the lake, they were paved roads, but had not been maintained in years, so they were just about impassable. Lots of washout. I have not ridden through there in over a year, so I don't know if they have repaired the roads. The lakeside is very nice as it was maintained. The majority of the houses on the side without the lake were built when it was first developed 1980 I think. I have to say, that area is beautiful. If it had not been for the water problem and the lack of maintenance during the time we lived there, we might still be there.

I'm sorry, I didn't answer your question. Homes - about 20 on each side of the road, maybe more on the lake side. I don't know the prices of them. It does border the State Park. Beautiful land.

The water problem has been corrected. The water is maintained by the county now. I live in the area and while the roads are still rough, the homeowners are working towards getting the county to help repair them and trying to maintain everything. It is really beautiful.

? Looking for update. Is this water city provided as in underground utilities? What are the typical prices of recently "sold" lots and is there a special assessment for the utilities? Thank you.

My son owns a place in the area of Kings Gap Village with out the lake. Are the residents in this area allowed to fish in the lake.
