Everyone is talking about taking the drug dealers down, but lets talk about the shape the jail is in after they get there. By viewing the office you would think this should be a pretty nice place, but once you clear the office and turn the corner its complete differnt view. To begin with the mats are worn out, better off to sleep on the concrete. If your lucky to get a bunk you have no cover because they huge holes in them and not enough to even cover the body. If you sleep on the concrete the toilets are over flowing and sewage is running all ovver you. Lets not even talk about the food.. its disgusting. No running water to wash hands, no soap, no hand sanitizer, if someone is sick, you might as well plan on dying cause thats exactly what has happen to most. If you dont have hepatitis before you go through the door your garuanteed to have it once you come out. Along with staff infections and any other diseases that plagues the place. over crowding is ridiculous a four man cell has anywhere to 8 to 10 people in it. Livestock has to stay in stalls but they are at least kept clean. I wouldn't let my dog enter the door.

I agree 100%....I think the jails should be kept clean and in liveable conditions. I know lots of people would disagree with me and say they got what they deserve. Well no one deserves to be treated like an animal. I believe they should be punished for the crimes but also do so in a humanly way. They should be given something to sleep on and should be kept warm. They should also have soap and clean water.

Yea, keep your dumb asses out of jail, it is not a motel. The same trash goes in there over and over. It is not suppose to be a HOLIDAY INN. I don't feel sorry for them.

News said the jail is over budget. So, do they publicize the projected budget? Or Past years expenses and show where that money has been spent? Detention centers/Jails are inspected and supposed to be updated regular so why has this one been able to fall through the cracks? It is an old old jail and in need of desperate repair or more likely replacement. It's a fact a jail is a necessary 'evil' pun intended. What I would like to see is a new one built, bigger and updated. We have to have one because we are getting more criminal need for it every day.

If it's so nasty, give the inmates a toothbrush and piece of soap and let them clean it. I see the same ones over and over again go in there. If they would send them somewhere to do some actual hard time with hard labor, they might learn from their "mistakes" sooner. I don't much care for the use of "mistakes" to replace the word "crimes". I've made mistakes, but I have committed no crimes to land my pale white behind in jail. All people make mistakes, some people commit crimes. Big difference.

I could not have said it any better. You are right, they have it too easy or one time would be enough for them.

But they prove one time is not enough. Pete and Re-Petes are all you see there. So, it must not be that bad or anyone in their right mind would see it as that. That jail has been there since the early 70's and is crumbling down around it's foundation. I do agree with what was said it was ran better when Bybee was there and it was still fairly new. Influx of what we have now hadn't hit our streets and backroads then either.

Q: How many here whining about their tax dollars being spent on providing humane conditions for prisoners identify themselves as Christian? If you do, you're a hypocrite.

"Lord, when did we see you hungry, and not feed you? Naked, and not clothe you? In prison, and not visit you?" -- "Verily, I say unto you, whatsoever you do to the least of these, my brothers, that you have done UNTO ME."

"But Lord, have we not done many great works in your name?"

His answer, as he says he will testify to your father in heaven on your last day? "I NEVER KNEW YOU."

The inmates say they are not given anything to clean the cells even if they ask,I do believe if they want cleanliness and ask for cleaning supply's they should be allowed to clean their cells.Just because you are in jail doesn't make you a nasty individual. Some people are clean and if it took a toothbrush I bet some would be more than happy to clean up the filth they have to live in. Cleanliness should not be denied. If a inmate has to go to the doctor or the hospital tax dollars pay for it (County} not the inmate a little cleanliness might be a good idea to help cut back some staff or other sickness, etc.

It's not a motel or resort. You deserve it if you broke the law. Besides the county won't give them money they would rather have a ATV trail.

A jail cell is for someone who broke the law. They do NOT deserve t.v., internet, posh pillows and bedding, etc. Just the bare necessities to keep them alive. If they smear feces on the wall, let them live in the filth until they get sick enough of it to clean it up themselves..

If they don't wanna be locked up again, they'll remember that and not break the law again..

In my opinion, give 'em all bologna sandwiches morning, noon and night, and nothing but water to drink.

Coffee is even a luxury item for many poor people. Why proved it to inmates.

Unless they have a life threatening illness, they can wait till they get out for medical care. Many law abiding citizens can't get health care or dental care. Why should an inmate unless his life is in danger at that immediate time...

As you can see, I have NO sympathy for whining inmates OR their crying cohorts.

Oh you are all so fast to judge every one. Well in this town for one thing you really don't have to do much to get arrested but none the less every one is human and deserves to be treated as so. You say that you don't want your tax money paying for their upkeep well then. I suppose you don't mind your taxes buying Tony s new truck. It's a bunch of b s the inmates deserve a clean environment at least
