Customer, you're a fool. How many years now has it been in business? How long has it been an incredibly successful business? Your pathetic attempt to slander the place on here only makes you look bad, not the restaurant.

The Ole Country Cafe is a Wonderful place to eat. The food is wonderful, the atmosphere is great, friendly and down home. It has a clientele from far and wide as well as hundreds and hundreds of locals. The owner really does a wonderful job as hostess and everything else she does to provide such delicious food. I only wish the place was bigger! Lot's of times we have to wait in line because the house is packed! Cudos to the proprietor and those responsible for this wonderful place. Have I covered everything? I hope so, if not please add positive experiences you've had and your favorite meal. Mine is the fish, oysters, fried green tomatoes, manhattans, coleslaw, crispy fried chicken chef salads, just about everything! I've not had the steaks yet but a friend has and said they are delicious! Breakfasts are fantastic, large servings and you can even get red-eyed gravy for a very decent price. This is one place I will continue to go to, again and again!

They make it IF you ask for it. As for the homemade gravy the proper term is sawmill gravy. If you don't like it there, don't go, it is that simple. If you ask for red eye gravy they do make it.

The "new owners" ran it the whole time, oh ye who knows all! Please enjoy your dollar double cheeseburgers. We won't miss you when we frequent one of the best restaurants in the county!!

I'll definitely be returnin. It's so good to have a place like the OCC to go to and get such wonderful food and service. Each time I eat there I am always completely satisfied with the great food and the wonderful way we are treated. Great waitress, great food, great hostess and great prices. Always see many, many friends there, meet new ones and everyone is very happy to be there. Good to see there are others who feel the same.

I thought "sawmill" gravy was made with cornmeal instead of flour. It gives it the consistancy of sawdust thus sawmill gravy. I may be wrong though, who knows?

It can be made with cornmeal. Either way with sausage crumbled in it. Mostly made with flour and very thick.

one major poblem i find there is how the owner sits and puffs one cigerette after another. the smoke choked me out so i cut my meal short. it doesnt look good for one to lay a cigerette down then grab our tray to bring to us and not even wash her hands think about it people and watch you will see for your self

The food has changed. The last two times that i have eat there was not as good as it once was. What has happened? I am not trying to start anything, this is only my opinion.
