I agree with this. This place is a total disaster. There is little kids as young as 7 years old out late at night without supervision causing all kinds of disturbances. Places are being robbed constantly and the law is just guessing who did it because they are never around here to see it happen! You can call the law from out here and they either never show up or by the time they arrive here everything is done robbed or vandelized. I for one want out of here as soon as possible. I am tired of the constant harassment!

kids are getting away with things because adults are bribbling them. when they are that young they should be in bed at 9 oclock if they have school the next day. parents are just not parents anymore.

I am a mother against sexual preditors and if you are letting your child at 7 outside after dark you're wanting it to happen. I say protect all children and I do know what I'm talking about, where did you grow up?

Good parents know what's best for their children. Some parents around this town not only let their little kids run around but let their teens do the same. When I was 15, 16 and 17 years of age I was in the house at 10 pm. I didn't start no trouble for people. If I was asked to do something I did it. Parents are not teaching their children respect any more they think they can do what they want when they want to. They don't care who's around or what other child might be picking up on what they think is funny. Well it isn't funny anymore!!!!

Heck I was 18 and knew to be in the yard when the street lights came on expect when I already had permission from my mother to be out later. I respected my mother enough to never be a minute late without at least calling to tell her I was running a few minutes behind. Children now could careless about what their parents say and the parents do not care enough about their children to demand respect from them.

Kids have no respect for any adult anymore. They think they can do what they want, when they want. When I was growing up if you acted this way you ended up with a raw backside.

Amen to that. My parents were not afraid to correct us and we were not afraid to take a punishment. I can't remember how many times I got my rear end beat with a belt then sat in my room studying, reading, or just sitting there (no toys, television, computer, etc) while I could hear my friends outside playing. I grew up knowing that if I broke the rules there were consequences; now kids just don't care if there are rules, they will do what they want. As for parents, most are afraid to correct their children and be seen as the bad guy or afraid to beat them because of this little joke group called CPS. But don't get me started on CPS, I could start an entirely different discussion about their problems.
Plain and simple, parents grow some balls. Set rules, correct your kids when they break the rules, and use some discipline if needed. And just incase you didn't realize it, it's not really punishment if you send them to their room where all their toys, computer, video games, and cell phone is. Remove everything but their bed and give them a nice book to read.

I understand that some of the parents need to correct their children... but there's alot of parents at the Manor that NEED SOMEONE TO CORRECT THEM!!! Ive seen the EMS be called there on more than one occasion and most of it is drug related... taken too much.... looking for more.... Amazing to me that these ppl get away with it...

Pine Grove defiantly has some major issues but is still a much safer community to raise a child then most places. For everyone that has genuine concerns about what’s going on around here I recommend you take a stand. Rally your friends and everyone with your beliefs and head to the city building… ask for things such as a community watch program and more involvement from elected officials. If they don’t want to comply run for office yourself or go other routes. You could always volunteer with some of the many youth programs or even start one of your own… there are many many options on how to make it a better place but setting back and scrutinizing the situation while not contributing to the solution is counter-productive.

Guy’s it takes 40-50 votes to get any position you want from Mayor to council to recorder. I think it is a sure bet that if you let your thoughts be known (using your name) and start helping make a difference in this community, you could have any of the elected positions that you want.

PG poor need the Dept of Agriculture commodies, poor kids need better nutrition to help them learn; if local merchants are stopping that for greed, preachers should throw them out of their churchs-church em. Do you r duty to help improve education; if a crummy educator won't leave, ask them to leave. Do your duty to help improve the town, if the mayor's moron, vote em out.
