It is so sad that adults are not able to control themselves, the sad thing is this child will be damaged for life, if he lives!

This man and anyone like him should not be allowed around children or teens. He needs some anger management and a long jail sentence. I am a new father of a 15 month old girl. I can not understand anyone hurting such a innocent child.

Yes, this man made a mistake, a terrible mistake. And God granted us all, the opportunity to enter this world and learn from our and other's mistakes.
What do responses like "he does not deserve to lived" and these other comments tell us about these people who are casting the first stone and giving up on the person.
The information that the media, yes, news10 has provided is frequently one sided.
I do not know anything about this situation other than that which was provided in this article. It is sad, and there are no winners. Farkas made a terrible mistake, and a little child suffered. It could have been so easy for Farkas to knot own up to what happened as so many others in the media (I did not have sex with that woman).
A terrible mistake, yes. Something that our news should make us aware without of so that we can learn from it, yes.
We can not turn the clock back and change what happened. If this action has resulted in a strong reation in you, then what can YOU do to help others learn so that this is not repeated. You cannot legislate common sense, love and compassion, but you can only lead by example. Unfortunately, many of the other comments fall well short of this ideal.
Maybe they too can learn common sense, love and compassion.

This absolutley disgusts me. The child is in the midst of coming into his terrible two's and yes, I have a two year old and have wanted to go crazy myself. There is absoultely no excuse for this man picking up the child, shaking him then slamming his head in the wall. This is a grown man and a baby all of 20 pounds. Such a blow should have almost taken this baby's life. I hope he sits in jail for a long time, and his guilt makes him go completely mad with regret. I will pray for the baby.

Befor a child is born, his greatest natural enemy is his mother's abortionist. After he is born it is his mother's boy friend.

Michel from Elverta, Ca. it seems that you feel sorry for this Jerk or maybe he is your friend! This was no TERRIBLE MISTAKE,the man who did this to this innocent child knew exactly what he was doing and he needs some psychological help, as well as to be punished to the Full extent for his FOOLISH actions. As normal Adults we all know that a child that age is helpless to a Grown Man.If this was your child would you be thinking the same way or would you be ready to take matters into your own hands? God Bless this child and i hope he gets well soon!

When will people learn to just walk away when/if they've totally lost patience with a child? This man could have taken the child to a nearby neighbor or called someone he knew to come and give him a break. Yes, children can make you crazy, but there is no excuse for his behavior.

ok....look at good old farkas. would you leave your baby with him? he didn't like the baby pounding the cup..take the cup away, then. transported to ucd for surgery? probably to ease the pressure on the baby's brain. absolutely NO excuses--anyone today knows what this sort of action does to a little kid. put him away for a very, very lonnngggg time. thank you.

I hope they also investigate the mother's responsibility in this matter. Too many times, women put their innocent children in the hands of irresponsible people. There are programs to assist w/payment of lic. childcare. And, too many times there are women who are abused and/or living in a cycle of abuse and not making good choices based on their unhealthy (raised in the same cycle of abuse) and foggy perception of what "love" is really about. I'll bet there were many circumstances leading up to this final episode. I say make the parent - who gave birth to this beautiful baby - also responsible for putting him in this helpless position to be at the mercy of someone who "snappied!" More public service campaigns need to be developed to educate and laws made and enforced to hold people responsible for putting their children in harms way. Many blessings to the poor innocent children, and in particular, this little 18 month old.

you seem to think that all lic. childcare is 100% safe. I would rather leave my child with someone I know than a complete stranger, licensed or not. Farkas was by no means fit(and I'm sure the mom regrets every decision she's ever made in reguards to) but who's to say that jack and jill down the street running the daycare are? Furthermore, you don't know that this man ever showed signs of being abusive, some people don't, I say make you a single parent in need of childcare while you try to support your family, make you the person these tragedies happen to and then we'll see who is unfit.

0 tolerance for anybody who hurts a child! Our system tends to jail and try to rehabilitate the quilty but do nothing for the young helpless victims who have to live with the pain for the rest of their lives. I truly believe that they can forgive but will they ever forget.

what farkas did was completely and utterly horrible, and he will pay for what he has done, but what really needs to be focused on its love and support for the mother and her child...they are going to need all the prayers and love and hope to get through the coming weeks, and i'm sure the family of the child would really appreciate some compassion, love, and prayers that the child will pull through with flying colors. this was no fault of the mother's and she should be given the respect of the benefit of the doubt that she did not know what kind of person this man was. love is what needs to be focused on here to get the child and his mother through this horrible time.
