If you have 50 employees and you cut their pay by 10% that is an adverage of $3,000 per person. It look like the little guy is being hurt the most by this pay cut. The top guy is taking a $24,600 pay cut that leaves $125,400 for the rest of the employees. Now the question is what is the salary of the next top 5 people? The problems is the people on the bottom can lease afford the pay cuts and they do most of the work.

The best way to reduce the cost is to elimate some of the people on top.

Just get rid of the guy on top and you save more 16.4 percent instead of the 10 percent.

I dont understand how a road needs an 'authority' to oversee it. There has to be hundreds of thousands of miles of roadways in this country that don't require an 'authority'. I have a great idea: Fire them all and sell the multi-million dollar building at OEA. Then they could turn control over to the county commisioners or DOT and drop/lower the tolls!!

Thank GOD Crotty took away a whopping $24,000 from MIke Snyder. Atleast he still makes $220,000 a year! To do what? Maybe if he didn't think he was worth so much money we wouldn't have to pay as much tolls as we do now. I think he and everybody that makes that kind of money should have to write a thsis style paper on why and what they did to deserve that much dough! RE*COCK*U*LOUS!!!!!

If Crotty thinks this will make up for the toll hike, he's got another thing coming.

This "tokenism" once again is supposedly to calm the people who pay the tolls. I suggest that all the toll booths be closed on Mondays and Fridays. This will not only save the motorists money, but the pay reductions can be realized as well as most of these people are hourly. I'm tired of waiting and waiting in line on the BEACHLINE in the EPASS lane when i need to get to work on Monday and go home on friday. Get real.

Rich Crappy is a real joke. No wonder northerners make fun of the Mayberry RFD we have for a government. Tell Rich to quit first and give up all fraudulent funds he gets from developers.

A proposal should be made for Chairman/Mayor Crotty to resign from the Expressway Authority. That would seem a constructive cut, given the obvious conflicts of interests.

Under the circumstances, I would not consider Crotty for Congress now with his misguided decisions in the Expressway Authority, not to mention his questionable connections to developers. No thanks.

how about leading by example - cut your own silk sow payola - and while at it commit to serving the true public or go ahead and do the total sell out to Washington and stop being Martinez's puppet - and take Dyer, Lynum, Siplin with you - they'd make a heck of a staff for you

How very ingenious of Mayor Crotty. I wonder if HE has opted to take a cut in his own pay as Mayor? Seriously???? This is friggen ridiculous. Poor Mr. Snyder...he'll give up a whopping $24K out of his $250K salary??(Note, this is his retirement job...I imagine he's collecting a pension from wherever he hailed before he came to OOCEA.) Mayor Crotty is a crook and a scandal...as is everyone associated with him. I hope this will weigh heavy on the minds of every voter when we step up to the polls and see what Crotty's next political aspiration is.
