I guess I have been naive my entire life because I was inclined to believe that we all wanted crime to be stopped. Recently I have noticed that that isn't necessarily the case. With all the crying going on about the Standish prison closing I see a whole new perspective of what really matters to people(sometimes it isn't what they say it is). The primary function of prisons is not to provide a workforce for communities. With the closing of prisons it seems that is all we are hearing about. The most disturbing bit to me is that all of the businesses that are complaining that they will have to close down because the guards won't be spending their money in the local economy anymore. So what these people are really saying is that they support crime. Although they will trash talk these criminals and paint an entirely different picture, the truth is, from their own mouths, they can't survive without them. Their businesses will fail. If you really think about it, what kind of people are these anyway that build a business around the shortcomings of others? I am truly shocked that these people cannot see what they are really saying. Please, stop supporting crime.

Looks like Michigan (blue state http://www-personal.umich.edu/~mejn/election/... ) isn't real excited about this "change" and "hopes" it goes away...like back to Cuba. How do you spell hypocrisy?? Or this a case of "voter remorse"??
Maybe they can call it " Cash 4 terrorists" http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/08/20/mi... I just love it when peoples bad decisions bite them in the a$$. |
